Chapter thirty two

It’s been five days since the return from Mexico, Ava had thought and believed that Lucian would come around along the way. After all, he was as cold as that when they first met, so no doubt when his demons or whatever troubling him has finally left him, he would come around and would even apologize for what he said to her.

But to her surprise, rather than come around, he was drifting further away. He leaves in the morning to return late at night, sometimes covered in blood from head to toe. She knew he has been killing but what she doesn’t understand was why it seems intense now like killing is the only thing he knows how to do. So many times she had tried to strike up a conversation but he either replies with his one words response or he totally ignores her.
