CHAPTER TWENTY

On the way home Elizabeth was silent. She was too afraid to even say anything to Hayden; she couldn't believe what had happened. Azalea, her own sister, wanted to kill her in broad daylight. She didn't even have a conscience to haunt her horrible thoughts. Tears rolled down her cheeks. Hayden felt her pain.

He was very worried about her and an hour later they arrived at Elizabeth's house.

So much for a peace afternoon. 

Elizabeth didn't even spare a glance at Hayden; she just got out of the car and rushed into a house without saying anything.

"Elizabeth!" Hayden called but he knew better. She needed to be alone because she wasn't going to talk to him after it had happened. She was gone. Hayden was angry Azalea had crossed the line she needed to be taught a lesson.

He got inside his car and slammed the door to his car hard in anger. He was furious he drove to his apartment.
