Chapter 30

It was over before it really began, but the burn was forever lingering in my mind. The zebra wood desk served as a good spot to prop my feet up as I analyzed over what happened. It was a very quick burn, like just a peck. Maybe she jumped him and he was feeling pretty angry at the moment. My computer dinged, signaling I had an email that just came through. My L-shaped desk was my dad’s design. The Zebra wood was mine. I loved the contrast of the colors, but the smell of the wood was horrible. We had to stain it to keep the smell from penetrating all the surfaces of my office. These females I tell ya. There is nothing wrong with having your mate want to be there to save and warn ya. I get the whole you dont need a prince to save and kiss ya kind of situation, but cut the men a break.
