MHOREIN's POV
I took a spoon and tried the dish. I reached for the salt when I decided it needed atleast a pinch more.
The song playing on the background was replace by my ringtone. I turned off my stove before I washed my hands and answered the phone.
"Mhor."
"Chain? You called?" I asked.
"I'll send the address."
"It's 10:15 in the evening, Chain. We'll do it tomorrow or something."
"It's murder." Chain said with a serious and stern voice.
"Ill be on the way..."
"Bye." I dropped the call. I entered my room and changed pants. I took the keys and rushed out the door.
I entered the elevator and was greeted by a smiling face. Katherine.
"Kath! Hey!"
"Hey, It's late. Did someone die?" I nodded.
"I was joking... But good luck, I guess."
The elevator took me to the parking lot. I entered my car and looked at the address Chain sent me.
I parked my car on the side of the road. The crime scene is undeniably noticeable since people crowded the place.
"Detective!" Aiden immediately approached me when I got out of the car.
"Where's the Chain?" I asked.
"I'll lead the way, Ma'am!" He said and smiled.
"Chain!" I called my colleague and partner. He seemed to be focused on the floor.
"What's up?" I stopped when I looked at what he's looking at.
"Oh my god, What happened?" I cringed at the horrible sight.
"Aiden, Search the area." I commanded. He nodded and began to look for evidence.
"Honey, What happened?" I asked
"People saw the body, Lying here with no legs, Stitches around her stomach area." He replied.
"Detectives." A tall curly haired man approached us.
"Inspector Arcilla."
"Information?" I asked. Chain handed me the files.
"Amy Marcus, 26 years old, She's a nurse at Leounet's Public Asylum, And now we have no suspects but it's pretty obvious that one of the patients killed her."
Chain gave me a pair of gloves and a flashlight. I was surprised to see that Livor Mortis had not started yet.
"How come livor mortis has not taken it's effects?" I asked, confused. Chain kneeled beside me.
"You're right... That's odd." My eyebrows met. I got confused. I took her wrist and felt her pulse.
"W-What?! No way!" Shocked, I let go of her hand.
"She has a pulse!" I looked at Chain.
"What? Are you sure?" He knelt down and checked for himself.
"How is this even possible?" He stuttered.
"Request an autopsy, Now." Chain nodded and took his phone out. I stood up and looked for Inspector Arcilla.
"Inspector, She has a pulse." He looked more shocked than confused.
"How is that possible?" He asked both confused and amazed.
"I dont get it either ..." I whispered.
"Surgery?" The inspector asked.
"Maybe, What's missing?" I put my hand on my chin.
"Legs, Arms. Obviously." Inspector Arcilla shrugged.
"Anything else? Organs?" I asked
"Im not sure but I can tell there's something there missing." Said Inspector Arcilla
"Gastrectomy. Someone can live without their intestines." I concluded
"Chain! Hon!" Chain quickly came to us.
"Why?" Chain looked at me, Confused.
"Call an ambulance. Amy needs to get to the hospital." I ordered.
"Why?" He asked.
"Gastrectomy."
"Gastrectomy?"
"Just do it! Hurry! Before she wakes-" I was cut off
We looked at the scene when we heard a loud agonizing scream. Amy woke up.
"W-Wait. Shit." We panicked and rushed back to the scene.
"Detectives! Inspector!" Aiden was afraid.
"She's alive!" Aiden panicked.
I gently pushed Aiden out of the way and ran towards the body. People were panicking and going wild.
"Everyone calm down!" Aiden scared them off with a gun. I kneeled down next to Amy who was in tears.
"Help. Please. Please!" I nodded, Trying to calm myself.
"Calm down, We're calling an ambulance. Just breathe and stay awake." I stood up and went to where Chain was. I saw him talking on his phone. He turned to me after the call was finished.
"The ambulance is coming." Chain assured her.
"What are you planning?" Chain asked.
"Asylum... Tomorrow. As much as Im wanting to do this, I'm a lot more tired."
"Tsk." He shook his head.
"Go home, we'll take care of it, we'll call if we need you." He said.
"Later, I have to do something else." I stared at the floor.
"Inspector!" I called Inspector Arcilla who was talking to the other police officers. He excused himself.
"She's not dead ... It's still a case, Right?" I asked.
"Of course." Chain and Inspector Arcilla answered.
"She's not bruised or scarred, Except for the stitches ... It's not physical injury." I said.
"It's not murder either." Chain seconded.
"Robbery?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Nothing is missing from the victim." Chain disagreed
"Rape?" I asked.
"Not that either." Inspector Arcilla put his hands on his pocket.
"Well, What the hell is it?" My eyebrows met
"Unlicensed surgery without consent." The inspector answered.
"What if its licensed?" Chain asked.
"Surgery without consent." Inspector Arcilla replied. I nodded.
"Alright, Call me if Im needed." With that I walked away.
MHOREIN's POVI made pancakes and sausages. Once it was finished I prepared a plate, spoon and a fork. I sat and was ready to eat when someone knocked. "Mhor!" "Detective!" I frowned when I heard Chain and Aiden's voices.I stood up and opened the door. "Good morning, Honey." Chain smiled. "Do you not want me to eat?" I sarcastically asked. "Just eat, We'll join you." Aiden said, Smiling. Chain and Aiden helped themselves in. "Wow." I said as I followed them. When I arrived at the kitchen they were already sitting down, Both having plates in front of them "What are you doing here? I thought you'd call me?" I asked.
MHOREIN's POV "Let's go." I ordered. Lemuel led the way as we followed. Lemuel stopped in front of a faded metal door. Aiden bumped into me when I suddenly stopped. "Ouch." I heard him whisper. Lemuel opened the door and a loud creaking sound echoed through the empty hall. "I'll leave you here detectives. There are staffs lurking around this area. You can call them in case of an emergency." He said. "Thank you." He nodded and left.A deadly stench made the three of us cough. "What the hell is that smell?" Aiden
MHOREIN'S POVI gave Chain a bothered look. He isn't looking at me. Aiden was too busy eating and Rose was too. I gulped.'tap tap tap'Chain looked up with his eyebrows met. He took a bite out of his burger.'scratch scratch scratch'He looked at me, confused onto why Im using a code. I looked at the bastard Jay, who was enjoying his meal. And another one.'tap tap tap'Chain's eyebrow raised. I looked at Jay and then back at him. He looked at Jay as well. I tilted my head to the side
"Get ready. We're gonna start today." He said, Voice altered by a mic on his neck tie. The room was dark, the people around his couldnt see his face. "Boss, Aren't you scared?" "Why would I be? They're just careless movie detectives who overlook things. To them this is a money game." He sipped his wine and licked his lips. He nodded. "Leave them a note this time. A little code." He ordered.MHOREIN's POV "Detective Tyler, Good Morning." I greeted him as we strode towards the entrance of the police station. We quickly entered the police station. I saw Chain on the distance and stopped infront of him, Tyler stopping as well.
MHOREIN'S POV "We better get to South's park now." He suggested. "Hm. No." He looked at me. "What do you mean?" "Names? Age?" He checked his emails. "Emerald Jackson, Gerard Way, Hank Andress, Frank Iero. All Nine years old." "They're gonna get more kids either on Mid or West-" I was cut off by another ring. "Mis
Acros is pronounced as Ak-ros. Not like across. A play with the Acrostic Cipher, Like Scarlet is for Scarlet thread used for Spider webs. ACROS' POVAs expected, They did it. They solved the crime. I watch as the detectives leave the scene with another successful case. They wouldnt have done it without my codes and tiny clues of course. Everything was planned from their ages to their names and birth months. I chuckled. "Acros." "Scarlet? Took you long enough." "So they did it huh?" "What did you expect? Of course they did." "What are you planning?" "What do you mean? You know the whole plan." "Acros
MHOREIN's POV "Mhorein, Stop." Chain held my wrist and tried to pull me away from my car. "This is an important case, Chain. We cant just ignore it" My dizziness is getting worse. "If it's that important then you shouldnt go drunk." "Im not drunk. Im just a little dizzy. I can handle myself, I promise." He looked me into the windows of my soul. "No." I tried to look back at him but I couldnt. I swear Im not drunk. "I had a couple of beers, Im not drunk." "Mhor, We both know your alcohol tolerance is shit. So shut up and stay in your apartment." Chain's phone rang. He looked at me before answering it. "Inspector, It's midnight and my wife's drunk. Plus, Th
CHAIN's POVI stared at the love of my life as she examined blood stains on the carpet, Trying to make sense of it. It's not the most romantic or lovely sight but it's her. It's the woman I want to be with for the rest of my life. She will be. I know that for a fact."Chain! Chain!" I was thinking too deep again."Are you okay, Hon?" She asked. Her eyes staring at me with worry."Yeah, Of course I am." She smiled."These blood stain are a couple of hours older than the ones we found on the stairs. ""Detective, We found blood stains on the side of the library behind multiple shelves. They were estimated to be two to three days old." I looked as my girlfriend's perfect eyebrows met. God, I wanna look at her for years and never get tired of it. Too bad... I..."CHAIN!" She snapped her fingers"Hon?" Both Mhorein and Aiden we
