Nothing feels greater than spending the weekend with the love of your life. Absolutely top tier recommendable.

King had promised to accompany Laura today to which ever malls she had in mind for baby’s shopping. Although Laura had been getting things ready in her own small little way—with Maddie of course— she hasn’t yet put up the nursery. She wanted that to be s beautiful moment with her and King.

While King on the other hand was going to surprise her this evening with the room for the nursery he was already putting together but by bit.

Laura and king have been in the kitchen teasing and spending the morning and noon together. They were still going to head out for the shopping afterwards.

“You know, you're hands down the most beautiful pregnant woman I've ever seen.” King said, teasingly.

“You're being biased. Mr. McGorrith.” Laura giggled, mulching on her second plate of delicious chicken salad.

“Guilty as charged. I’m in love with you. I can’t help it.” King raised his hands up smi

"How... how could you not tell me?" she croaked, her voice hoarse. "How could you keep this from me for so long?""I didn't know how," King admitted, his voice raw with honesty. "I was afraid. Afraid of hurting you, afraid of losing you. I thought if I could protect you, if I could keep you safe, then maybe the past wouldn't matter. But I was wrong. It always matters. It always comes back to haunt us.""And you thought you were the only one who got to decide what I should know?" she challenged, her voice rising with a newfound anger. "You took away my right to know my own truth!""No, Laura, that's not what I wanted," he countered, his voice pleading. "I wanted to protect you, yes, but I also wanted to earn your trust again. I wanted to show you that I had changed, that I was worthy of your love. I knew this information would destroy you.""Destroy me?" she repeated, her voice laced with sarcasm. "You think this is destroying me? Try living a lie your entire life! Try believing in a f

  • Entangled with a Baby   chapter 136

The stark white walls of the art gallery seemed to amplify the silence, broken only by the soft, rhythmic sound of a water feature in the corner. Laura stood near a sculpture, a bronze figure frozen in a moment of anguished grace, mirroring the turmoil within her own heart. She had agreed to meet King here, a neutral space, away from the battlegrounds of their past and the uncertainties of their present. She checked her watch for what felt like the hundredth time. He was late.He wouldn't come, a daunting voice whispered in her mind. He's changed his mind. He doesn't want you anymore. She pushed the thought away, forcing herself to focus on the art. A series of abstract paintings in vibrant hues assaulted her senses, a stark contrast to the monochrome world she felt trapped in. Each brushstroke seemed to echo the chaos of her emotions – the fear, the hope, the lingering embers of a love she had tried so hard to extinguish.Suddenly, a shadow fell across the gallery floor. Laura's brea

  • Entangled with a Baby   chapter 135

Laura stood in her art studio, the large windows overlooking her new city. Sunlight streamed in, illuminating the colorful chaos of her work: canvases stacked against the walls, brushes overflowing from jars, and half-finished paintings scattered across the floor. It was her sanctuary, a place where she could lose herself in creativity and try to forget the turmoil in her heart. She was torn. Torn between the connection she felt with Alex and the lingering, unresolved feelings she had for King. Alex was her present, her new beginning. He was kind, supportive, and understanding. He made her laugh, and he made her feel safe. He was everything she thought she wanted. But King... King was her past. A past filled with passion, heartbreak, and a love that had once consumed her entirely. He had hurt her, yes, but he had also shown her a love like no other. And now, he was back, saying he had changed, that he was ready to fight for her.A small, elegant box lay on her worktable. It had arrive

  • Entangled with a Baby   chapter 134

Laura agreed to meet King. She picked a place that felt safe and neutral: a coffee shop in the middle of town. It was bright, noisy, and full of people. If things got weird, she could always pretend she had to go to the bathroom and then sneak out the back.King arrived right on time. He looked a bit nervous, like a kid about to give a speech in front of the whole school. He had a serious look on his face, which was a bit unusual. Laura was used to him being more... well, more King-like. You know, charming, confident, and maybe just a little bit cocky."Hi," Laura said, trying to sound casual, like she met up with mysterious men who knew about her long-lost father all the time."Hi," King replied, his voice a bit tight. He sat down carefully, like the chair might break if he moved too suddenly. "Thanks for meeting me.""So," Laura started, taking a sip of her coffee. "You said you had something to tell me? About my father?"King took a deep breath. "Yes," he said. "It's... it's a bit

  • Entangled with a Baby   chapter 133

King drove for many hours. He was looking for someone, someone very important. He was looking for Laura's father. The drive was long and tiring. The roads were quiet, and the sky was big and open. He didn't know exactly where he was going, but he had a clue, a small piece of information that he hoped would lead him to the man he was searching for. Finally, he arrived at a small town. It was a quiet place, with old houses and big trees. It felt like a place where time moved slowly. He asked people if they knew the man he was looking for, showing them a picture. Most people shook their heads. But then, an old woman smiled."Yes," she whispered, her voice soft and slow. "I know him. He lives in a small house by the river. It's not far from here."King's heart beat faster. He felt like he was getting closer to something big, something important. He thanked the woman and drove to the house by the river. The house was small and a bit run-down. It looked like no one had lived there for a lon

  • Entangled with a Baby   chapter 132

The sterile, metallic tang of the air stung King's nostrils. This wasn't the grand, echoing space of a cathedral, but the cold, harsh reality of a visitation room in the city's high-security psychiatric institution. Steel bars separated him from Matthew, a stark reminder of the man's descent into darkness. Detective Marshal, a grim shadow, waited in an observation room nearby, the weight of his authority pressing down on the already tense atmosphere. He was there to ensure justice, to finally apprehend Matthew and bring an end to the twisted game that had ensnared Laura. Matthew sat on the other side of the thick glass, his eyes hollow and haunted, a stark contrast to the vibrant, charismatic man King remembered. He looked like a broken doll, all sharp angles and fractured edges. The change in him was unsettling, a chilling testament to the destructive power of obsession.King sat down, the cold metal of the chair sending a shiver up his spine. He had come seeking answers, clos
