Chapter Seven

Lisa PoV

Even though Nessa has been a part of me since I was born, she'd only manifested recently – no thanks to Axel – and it felt weird to share my body with an entirely new being. For the longest time, I'd always felt alone, now that I have a companion, it took a while to adjust to the new development. I didn't even know how it worked. Was she living inside of me? I often wondered. And if that's the case, how can a wolf fit inside me?

"I fit quite well," Nessa's voice startled me.

"Stop doing that," I groaned.

"Do what?" Nessa asked innocently.

"You know, suddenly talking into my head. It's creepy."

"I'll make sure to announce myself before I speak next time," Nessa laughed.

For some weird reason, Nessa loved to tease me. It seemed like I was her personal source of entertainment.

"You know what I mean," I rolled my eyes.

"Fine, I understand. I'm sorry. You've been moody, and I wanted to cheer you up."

"I'm fine," I replied.
