Loving You
My name is Alexandria Rivers. I am 17 years old. I am the daughter of Joyce & Edward Rivers, Beta's to Alpha Brian Jackson of the Green Wood pack. My brother, Tyler Rivers, is best friends with the future Alpha Mason Jackson, and also next in line to become Beta. Alpha Brian and Luna Samantha have always been very kind to me. Mason and I began dating in middle school, and Luna Samantha has been teaching me how to be a Luna, in case Mason and I are mates. I finally get to shift and find my mate in 1 week. I'm really hoping Mason is my mate. My mother says that with the mate bond, you can feel what she described as "Sparks" when you touch your mate. Mason and I have both noticed a tingling sensation when we touch. So, hopefully that's something.
"Mason!" I yelled as I ran up and wrapped my arms around him. He quickly scooped me up and spun me around, gently setting me back on my feet and kissing me.
"Well, Hello There, Alex. What are you up to today?" Mason asked. I smiled and laid my head on his chest. I felt tingles across my waist where he had his arms still wrapped around me.
"I was hoping to spend some time with you today, actually. I miss you." I looked up at him with my best pouty face. He takes over the pack 2 days after I turn 18.
"I would love that. With all this Alpha Training, I haven't been able to spend time with my favorite girl." He smiled down at me, with his famous side smile. Goddess, it made my heart flutter.
We walked hand in hand down the hallways of our high school. Graduation was tomorrow, and I couldn't be happier.
As we were walking, I noticed one of the she-wolfs from our pack give Mason a seductive smile, which he returned. I stopped after she passed us, and looked up at him.
"What the hell was that?" I asked him. I was narrowing my eyes at him, my blood boiling.
"What are you talking about?" He answered. He tried grabbing my hand but I pulled away.
"Did you think I didn't see that? I saw the way she smiled at you and the way you smiled right back! Is there something going on between you two?" I was breathing heavy, my heart pounding in my chest. Ever since I was 13, i've given Mason my life. If I wasn't in school, I was with Luna Samantha, his mother, learning about being a Luna and learing how to make all of his favorite things.
"Babe, of course not. You're my future Luna, and i'd never do something to hurt you like that." He answered. His words felt genuine, but I could sense some tension in his face. He reached for my hand again, and this time I let him.
"I really hope not...." I whispered. My heart was still pounding, but I just wanted a fun night with Mason.
"Everything is fine, babe. Come on, lets go over to Jason's house. He's throwing a kick ass party for graduation." Mason was smiling like an idiot. Jason was next in line to be Mason's Gamma.
I rolled my eyes and smiled back. "Alright. Let's go baby."

JOYCE POVEdward and I were at the training grounds almost all day. My body was tired and sore, I'm getting too old of this. Honestley, I can not wait for Tyler to take over as Beta. At least then Edward and I could finally retire and get some rest. Being a Beta female wasn't all that easy. The constant training, helping Luna Samantha out with her duties, being there for every pack event and not being able to just sit back and relax, and always being on alert in case something happened.As much as I disliked Mason, our future Alpha, I did truly hope he was Alexandrias' mate.
