When we arrived at Jason's house, all you could hear outside was bass thumping from the loud music. There were pack members everywhere. Some were sitting on the porch, others were sprawled out across the lawn.
"Looks like we've already missed most of the fun, huh?" Mason laughed. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and lead me into the house. Immediatly, my brother Tyler and Jason ran up to us.
"Mason! Alex! So glad you guys could make it. Y'all need to catch up! Everyone here is already at least a 12 pack in!" Jason laughed.I could smell his breath reeked of beer as he grabbed me and gave me a tight hug. I hesitently hugged him back. I heard Mason let out a low growl, and Jason quickly let me out of his hold. "Sorry, bro. Got a little carried away." Jason beared his neck to Maosn as a sign of respect to his future Alpha. Mason wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer.
"So, Tyler, what are you doing here? I figured you'd be shacked up with Maci right now." I laughed out to my brother. He smiled and shook his head.
"She has some stuff going on with her parents, so I told her i'd just come and pick her up tomorrow." Tyler said. Maci was his mate. They met each other 2 months ago when her pack came to our territory for a treaty meeting.
"Ah. Well I can't wait to meet her!" I smiled brightly at my brother. He's always been there for me. Anything i've ever needed, Tyler was right there. He was the best big brother a girl could ask for.
Mason interrupted our conversation by quickly pecking my cheek.
"I'll be back babe, try to enjoy yourself. I know you don't like parties. Just stay with Tyler so I know you'll be safe." He said as he quickly walked away. "Where is he going?" Tyler questioned. I scrunched my nose and shook my head.
I sat and talked with Tyler and Jason for about 2 hours when I noticed how long it had been since I saw Mason. "Try calling him. There'a no way you'll be able to find him with all the people here." Jason suggested as he stood up and stretched. I nodded my head, and pulled my phone out to call Mason.
I called him 6 times and he didn't answer. The last time I called him it went straight to voicemail.
"That's weird. Ty, will you walk around with me and see if we can find him? I'm ready to go home." I asked Tyler. He nodded his head in agreement, and we started searching.
We walked around the entire house, checking every room. There were so many people here, we kept bumping into them.
After about an hour of searching, I gave up. "It's useless, Ty. Can you just take me home? I even tried mindlinking him, but it's blocked for some reason. I'm really tired." Tyler looked at me with a hint of saddness in his eyes. "Sure, sis. Let's go."
The ride home from Jason's house was about 15 minutes. The entire car ride I kept trying to call, text, and mindlink Mason, but got no response.
"Maybe something came up and he's back at the pack house with Alpha Brian. I'll find out tomorrow during training, and I will let you know." Tyler said as we pulled up to my parents house.
"I really appreciate it. I love you, and i'll see you soon. Be safe driving back to the pack house. I worry about you sometimes with the way you drive." I giggled as I stepped out of the car. Tyler gave me a wave goodbye, and I walked into the house.
My parents were already in bed at this time of night, so I went up to my room and took a shower. Hopeing that maybe Mason would have answered me by the time I was done.
When I got out, I dried myself off and put on my favorite black silk pajama's and sat down on my bed. When I checked my phone, I had no new calls or messages. The sleepiness started settling in, so I tried mindlinking Mason one more time. This time, it wasn't blocked.
"Mas? Where are you? I tried looking for you and calling but you wouldn't answer. Is everything okay?" As soon as I finished linking, he blocked me out.
I felt a little uneasy. Something was definetly going on. I tried forgetting about it as I laid my head down and closed my eyes. Not long after, sleep washed over me.
I haven't seen or heard from Mason in a week. I've been so worried, I didn't even realize it was my birthday until I heard my wolf.'Hello, Alexandria. I'm May, your wolf.' I was jumping for joy. I finally got my wolf!'Hello May! It's nice to finally meet you!' I replied. I could feel May in my head pacing back and forth.'Is something wrong, May?' I questioned. I've heard many things about wolfs, but my mom told me that our wolves really only get anxious if something is wrong, mainly with our mates. 'Something feels wrong. But please, ignore me. I'm very glad to have finally come to you.'I was walking towards the pack house, when I smelled something so delicious, my mouth started watering. It smelled like freshly baked cupcakes. My favorite. As I started getting closer, May started talking to me. 'It's mate, but something is wrong. Find mate!' I rushed into the pack house and ran into Luna Samantha."Oh goddess! I'm so sorry Lu
I wasn't going to let Mason or Luna Samantha see me cry. But, as soon as I saw Alpha Brian, I couldn't help but to let it go. He's always been like a father to me in a sense. And just like my father, I saw him as my comfort. He stood there, rubbing my back as I cried. I don't even know how long we stood there. He just kept whispering "It's okay. Everything is going to be okay, Alex. We'll fix this. I promise." He made me feel better, but I knew nothing was going to be okay. My fated mate, the one who was supposed to love ME, had been marked by some low level she-wolf. Breaking a bond through chosen mates is still very painful and dangerous. It could kill not only Jacy, but Mason too. And as much hatered I had running through my veins for the both of them, I still love Mason. I've spent years by his side.I finally released my hold on Alpha Brian. "I'm so sorry, Alpha... Please forgive me." I whispered looking down at the floor. Alpha Brian grabbed my face w
Finally. After hours of walking and sulking, I finally made it. I could see the pack territory gates just up ahead. I sighed contently as I approched the gates.A warrior walked up to me. He was about 6'5, covered in scars, and just overall scary as hell looking."What is your business here?" He questioned me. I stood silent for a moment until answering."I-i'm here to see my Aunt.... Tara Rivers..." I shakingly said. His eyes widened, and he nodded. "Please, go right in. I will have the Beta meet you in front of the pack house to escort you to your aunts house." He put his hand out towards the gate as it started opening. I gave him a smile smile and nodded my head as a thank you.As I walked into the territory, I realized how much bigger it was than ours. The pack house was atleast 8 stories tall. There was a pool, lit up with beautiful neon colors. I could see a park where all the pups could play and have fun. It literally looks like a pack
BETA MAX POV:As soon as I left Tara's niece, I ran striaght to Wyatt, my best friend and Alpha of the Demoncrest pack. He was in his office on the 8th floor. I swung the door open, and Wyatt stood up and growled."Whoa whoa there, big guy. It's just me!" I chuckled. He was always ready to rip someones head off. Poor guy has been serching for his mate for 6 years. Normally, we meet our mates at 18, when we first get our wolf. But Wyatt has not met her yet. But when I met Tara's niece, she seemed weird. Something about her scent made me think of Wyatt."Jesus fucking christ, Max! You can't just barge in like a fucking maniac. I was going to rip your head off." Wyatt said as he sat back down at his desk. I knew he was stressed out, with all the paper work, and rouge attacks that have hit too close to our territory.Wyatt lifted his head and looked at me. "Well? What's up? You obviously need something. So stop staring at me like an idi
Alexandria POV:"Wait wait wait. Let me get this straight." My Aunt says, pacing back and forth. She had a scowl on her face. I knew she would be pissed. "So you're telling me..." She started. She stopped for a second, listening to something. She shook her head then continued. "You're telling me, that Mason was cheating on you for Goddess knows how long, and then when you find out he's your mate, he let another she-wolf mark him?!" My Aunt was boiling. I could feel the anger radiating off of her. I nodded my head and looked at the floor. My cheeks turning red. I was embarassed. I spent years saying nothing but good things about Mason, and sticking up for him when everyone was telling me even though he's the future Alpha, he's no good for me. And now here I am. I felt small. I wasn't good enough for my mate. I just wanted to crawl into a hole and die.I was lost in thought when my aunt suddenly grabbed my jaw and made me look at her."Alex! I kno
Aunt Tara POV: I was so happy to see my niece Alexandria. I haven't seen her since I met my mate and moved to the Demoncrest pack. Life was alot easier here, as the Alpha wasn't so strict on the females. Females back home weren't allowed to train with the warriors unless they were a higher rank, like my sister when she found her mate. I was nervous to move here at first, leaving my family behind wasn't an easy choice. But, I loved Gavin, my mate. He is the Gamma to Alpha Wyatt. Once Alpha Wyatt took over, nothing changed. He had the same views as his father, which I was grateful for. Alpha Wyatt is 26 years old, and still hasn't found his mate. I could tell it was taking a toll on him, since he had not only his Alpha duties, but he had to pick up the Luna duities as well. It is difficult for an Alpha to run his pack without a Luna. Lunas' make the pack stronger, as they keep everyone together. One of their main jobs though, is to
JOYCE POVEdward and I were at the training grounds almost all day. My body was tired and sore, I'm getting too old of this. Honestley, I can not wait for Tyler to take over as Beta. At least then Edward and I could finally retire and get some rest. Being a Beta female wasn't all that easy. The constant training, helping Luna Samantha out with her duties, being there for every pack event and not being able to just sit back and relax, and always being on alert in case something happened. As much as I disliked Mason, our future Alpha, I did truly hope he was Alexandrias' mate. She was head over heels for him. They've been together for a while now. Honestly, even though he was our future Alpha, he was no good for my daughter. I've seen the way he looks at other she-wolves. And everyone knows that he's cheated on my daughter before. My poor Alex has spent so many nights crying over him. Yet, she still acts like he is the most important person in the world.
Alexandria POV:When Wyatt crashed into the room, I was nervous but excited. May was just howling in my head, she was so happy. I didn't understand how or why I was going to get a second chance mate. This was unheard of. Once you rejected your mate, that was it. There wasn't supposed to be any second chances.Honestly, I was nervous. I'm nervous that I won't be good enough for Wyatt, either. I mean, I spent so much of my time and effort into Mason and I's relationship, and he cheated on me. So how was this going to be any different? Wyatt was an Alpha, and i'm just some Beta's daughter. He deserves a strong wolf to become his Luna. I'm broken after finding out about Mason cheating and being marked by someone else.Wyatt had my hand in his, pulling me towards what i'm assuming is his room. His smell was so intoxicating, my mind wasn't even processing the fact that I would probably get my heart broken again. Once we reached his room, he clos
