AVERY

AFTER JEAN AND his son left the office, I prepared to leave too, as Kelvin was my last client for the day. These days, I do not have as many sessions as I normally did; most of my clients were healing and moving on. It made me glad that my work was having an effect.

I tidied my desk, packed my laptop and locked the doors behind me. My phone rang as I got into my car. It was Emily. I'm sure she had something to complain about the planning of her wedding. I wished that I could be there for her, but I found myself always busy.

I sighed and answered the call. "Hello?"

"Avery, you would not believe what has just happened," her groaning voice blasted from my car's speaker.

"Tell me," I answered, slowly driving away. "I just left my office. I have time to talk."

"Are you coming over?" She asked.

I shook my head and replied. "I had plans to stop by Adriano's mansion. He is out of the country. I need to check on Iris." Speaking of it reminded me of my anger for Adriano. How could he just

JEAN CARTER WAS a content man, and he was getting happier by the day. He looked up from what he was doing in the big garden behind his mansion and watched his son shoveling some dirt into an electronic wheelbarrow.Jean wiped away sweat with the back of his hand and smiled. Kelvin was actively doing something, not rotting away in bed or in couch like a potato, and all these was thanks to the beautiful doctor. Avery Quinn, who had been flooding into Jean's mind more frequently than usual."Do you need help with that?" Jean called, already putting on his second glove to go and help Kelvin who was having some issues with controlling the wheelbarrow, but kelvin shook his head.Jean stayed back, but was watching, ready to help Kelvin at the slightest chance, but he didn't need to as the small boy soon figured it out.Jean looked around at the work they had done. Kelvin's love for gardening had spread to Jean. It was also a regular bonding time as they raked and packed dirt together and pla

AVERYJACKSON WAS WRONG.That was the first though that popped into my head as soon as I woke up. I stifled a small groan as I rolled over and stared at the ceiling.I remembered Jackson's words. He had told me to have sex one last time with Adriano, and that would put him out of my mind for good. But oh boy, he was so wrong. My stomach clenched and my heart thudded as the feeling came gushing back. I had missed everything about him, the way he held me, his scent, the way I felt when he was inside me.The sex had the adverse effect on me. Now I could not stop thinking about Adriano..."Fuck!" I muttered under my breath."That is a lovely thing to say immediately after sex," His voice cut through my thoughts.I took in a deep breath and turned around. The bright sun reflected in his eyes and he had a small smile on his face."Sorry," I muttered."Shh, there is nothing to be sorry about," He said, placing a finger to my lips.I could not take it anymore, I sat up abruptly and stood up,

Avery's POVAvery slid off Adriano's thighs, dripping all the way down her legs. She knelt between his splayed legs and looked up at him with a wicked smile. "Again, baby?" she purred, wrapping one small hand around his thick cock. It was already starting to harden once more at her touch.Adriano groaned, head falling back against the pillow as Avery began to stroke him firmly from base to tip. Her hand was warm and smooth, her grip just tight enough to send sparks of pleasure through his core. "Fuck, Avery..." he grunted, hips rocking into her fist. "Your hand feels so good.""Mmm, I love touching you like this," Avery breathed, pumping faster. "Feeling how hard you get for me." Her other hand cupped his heavy balls, rolling them gently as she worked his cock. "I want to make you come again, baby. Can you do that for me?""Shit yes," Adriano panted, fisting the sheets. "Your hands are magic, my love." His muscles tensed and flexed beneath tanned skin slick with sweat as Avery's fin

Avery Quinn was supposed to be dead. That stupid Russian assasin had failed in the only thing she needed him to do.Instead, Clarance was standing here, trying to answer questions she had no answers to. When she returned to the group, her smile was back in place, but the champagne turned sour in her mouth. She did not engage in the conversation, laughters sounded hollow.Every second she spent amongst these women felt like borrowed time.THE SHRILL RING of her phone made all the women closer to clarance to turn around and look at her. Biting back a curse as embarrassment flooded through her veins, she gave a sheepish smile and walked away, digging into her bag. Without checking the caller id, she answered it and put it to her ear, “Now who the fuck is this?” she snarled without any care of who was on the other side listening.A slight chuckle came through the speakers and a thick Russian accent, “Is this how you speak to people that work for you?”Her back stiffened and eyes widened a

Adriano stared at the phone long after the call ended, his reflection faintly visible on the darkened screen. He barely recognized the man looking back at him. He felt like a schoolboy who had been berated by his favorite teacher.A movement at the doorway pulled him out of his thoughts. He turned and saw that it was Avery. She looked as breathtaking as he first saw her even though she all she wore was just casual sleep wear and her morning face. She stood there, frozen, one hand still on the doorframe as if she had just walked in and immediately regretted it. Her hair was loosely tied back, a few strands escaping to frame her face. She wore one of the ranch’s oversized shirts, the sleeves rolled up, bare feet peeking out beneath the hem.For a split second, their eyes locked, and the air seemed to tense between them. Then she inhaled sharply. “Oh. I, uh, I didn’t realize you were in here. I should go...” She turned slightly, clearly intending to leave.“Avery,” he said before he cou
