***Lucy’s POV***
Jacob lost the color on his face when I asked if I could kill his mistress. He tried to speak but he couldn’t come up with a better explanation and decided to just shut up. As I stared into his eyes, I couldn’t read if he was really against me killing his whore. “So, can I kill her?” I inquired again and he gasped in horror.
“No, no, you don’t have to dirty your hand over a measly creature,” he stated, and then I glared my eyes at him. He was trying so hard to ensure that the woman would be safe.
“Fair enough. I think we can still make things work as long as you will cooperate,” I told him, but I knew better about my own capabilities. I was beginning to wonder if I would be able to get through this ordeal without further injuring him.
