ดูเพิ่มเติมAvery's POV
The pack hall thrummed with celebration, everywhere buzzing with cheers, clinking of glasses, and lively voices.
The soft glow of golden chandeliers illuminated every corner of the room, blending with the rich scent of wines, barbecues and flowers that clung to the air.
Tonight is my third year wedding anniversary, my marriage to Alpha Drew, the Alpha of Green Field pack.
I plastered a smile on my face, trying to show everyone gathering in the hall how happy I was, even though there was a fire building up in my chest.
I walked into the hall.
I could see the faces of the ladies brighten in envy as they stared at me.
Every year since we got married, Drew always makes sure he throws an extravagant wedding anniversary for us. He would shower me with affection in public but never give me a glance once we were behind closed doors.
He made it clear he didn’t love me and only wanted me to give him pups and nothing more.
I don’t know why you choose to stay in such a toxic marriage, Bluey, my best friend would always say.
I could hear murmurs arising from the hall.
Why is she alone? Where is Alpha Drew?
Even though he made it clear to me, he has no love for me other than the mate bond.
He always ensures to keep a good face in front of all the pack members, like the good Alpha who loves his Luna.
And we had always shown up in public together.
But tonight was different.
He had informed me earlier that he had an important meeting in his office.
Just when I was about to head to his office.
The door of the pack hall burst open.
Drew’s mother, Luna Rosa, strode in; the air across the hall seemed to shift, drawn to quiet by her commanding presence.
Her gaze held a cold stare that sent shivers down my spine even without her looking at me. Her presence held power that made everyone stop and pay attention without her saying a word.
She never liked me from the onset.
"You are not fit to be Luna of this pack," she had said, when Drew and I found out we were fated mate.
She had done everything possible to drive us apart.
Drew’s father, Late Alpha Mavis, refused to let his son reject me. He was keen on tradition and that the Luna of his son had to be his Fated Mate, and he also felt he owed it to my parents to do right by me, but Luna Rosa had a different ideology.
Late Alpha Mavis has always taken care of me since I lost my parents.
My father was his Beta, and he and my mother died in a plane crash 15 years ago.
I turned around to avoid being seen by her.
And just when I took my first step.
"And where did you think you were going?" You this barren woman!" her cold voice stopped me.
As soon as the word left her lips, a wave of gasps surged through the hall. The pack members wore shock on their faces.
"Is she barren?" I could hear whispers from the crowd.
Tears welled up in my eyes, the sting of the word hitting me harder than I had expected.
I blinked, trying to hold back the tears, but the pain clung to my chest, making me feel exposed and vulnerable.
My wolf, Avia, growled in her anger. She badly wanted to unleash the fury that simmered beneath my skin, but I held her back.
Even though I am tagged as a weakling, Avia always shows her rage whenever I am being insulted and disrespected.
Where is my son, she demanded.
I blinked away the tears in my eyes, I wouldn’t let her break me.
I lifted my chin, masking the pain in my chest and plastered a smile on my face.
"I will go get your son," I muttered, turning away without waiting another second.
I headed up the stairs to Drew’s office.
As I neared his office, I heard a faint moan. I froze, my brows furrowed as I held my breath, straining my ears to listen.
"Was that… a moan?" My chest tightened.
I took a slow step forward cautiously, my heels barely touching the ground, trying not to make a sound.
My heart began to thud against my chest. Maybe I am imagining things. I tried to convince myself.
With each step I took, the moans grew louder, more frequent, more intimate. Each step felt heavier, my throat tightened and dry.
“No, this can’t be.”
By the time I got to the door, the moans were now unmistakable, it was pouring through the thin wood, filling my ears, my hand hovered over the door handle, trembling. Don’t open it, my wolf snapped at me.
“ Fu*ck me harder, Alpha!” I heard a lady’s voice.
The sound of her voice shattered my heart, my legs felt numb beneath me, threatening to betray me.
My heart broke into thousands of pieces and my feet got stuck to the ground, making me unable to move away from the door.
“ That was hot sex. When are you going to divorce your barren wife? "I'm five weeks pregnant for you," the soft voice said again.
“ Soon baby, I can't wait to divorce her and make you my Luna. "For the past three years, I have been looking for a pup, but she never got pregnant for me,” came the deep voice of Drew.
“ Please divorce her quickly. I can't stand the sight of that bitch!”
The voice I now recognize as that of Rina, the daughter of the late Gamma.
“ I have prepared the divorce papers. I will make her sign it tomorrow.”
Drew said, and before I could support myself, my legs finally gave way as I slumped to the ground.
“ Let's go, she will be waiting for me. "After all, today is our third wedding anniversary,” Drew said, sarcasm filling his voice.
I dragged myself up from the ground and left the office before they got to the door to avoid being seen by them.

It's so big and noisy!”Cayson, the tech enthusiast, was already scanning the surroundings, taking in every detail of the airport.“This airport is huge! It's bigger than the one in France,” he said.Clayton, the curious one, asked, “Can we get some food, Mom?” I'm starving! I want a hot dog!”I chuckled, “Let's get our luggage first, then we'll grab some lunch, and maybe we can even find a hot dog cart, then we'll go see your godmothe
Avery's POVCongratulations to you Miss! The doctor said, smiling as though she had just won a lottery.I furrowed my brow, trying to understand why the doctor was congratulating me."You're pregnant," she blurted out with a wide grin.Wh- what! I yelled. The doctor frowned, confused as to the reason why I yelled, when I was supposed to be happy. What did you just say? I asked her, trying to comport myself. You're two months pregnant with triplets.I scoffed, "You're joking, right?"The doctor stared at me, confusion written all over her face."Why would I be joking with something like that?" she asked."Okay, let me ask you, when was the last time you saw your period?" She asked. And then it dawned on me that I missed my period last month and this month was supposed to be last week as well.I had shrugged it off, bearing in mind that I was barren anyway.Maybe it's because of the rejection and stress that I am going through these days that make it skip. I had thought the last week, w
Avery's POVI sat on the floor, feeling the pain of the rejection gush through me, his words ringing in my head."I want you gone!" "I didn't want to see you in my pack when I got back," he had said before he stormed off."Can you see what you caused?" "Can you see what you made us go through?" We should have been the ones to reject him first, Avia my wolf, scolded as she paced in my head. She was right. I had held on to Drew for too long. Right from the day of our marriage, he had made it clear he only needed pups from me. He has never shown me affection except when we are in public. The only time we are intimate is during my heat and whenever he wants sex, but I held on to hope that maybe he would fall in love with me.I wiped off the tears and stood up, the pain now subsidized.I took the divorce papers and signed them.As I turned to make my way to my room, I felt a sharp pain course through my leg.I had hit my leg on the briefcase I had forgotten was there. The supposed divorce
Chapter 2Avery's POVI held on to the hem of my long, flowing gown and rushed down the stairs.“ Where is my son?” Luna Rosa asked, upon seeing me, but I didn't reply as I brushed past her.I could feel the gaze of everyone on me as I strode off as though they were trying to read through me to find answers. The breeze touched my skin as I stepped out of the hall, the tears that had built up in my eyes finally came pouring out.The ground seemed to shake beneath me as I ran towards the Pack house.I ran into my room and shut the door behind me.Letting the tears fall out freely as I walked aimlessly, sinking onto my bed.I clenched on to my pillow, soaking it with tears. My heart beat painfully, as though a knife had just been dug into it.* * *I was woken by the pain that coarse through my head like I had just been hit with an iron.
