CHAPTER THIRTY: DARK MAGIC

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," a voice drawled behind me, scaring the life out of me.

I gasped and whirled around, my eyes wide with shock as I stared into Ophelia's lush green eyes. 

She was leaning against the wall, right beside me, elegant and beautiful as ever. Her raven black hair was dark and glossy in luscious curls that framed her forehead and oval face. Her green eyes glittered under the lighting in the hallway and her dress was a revealing but exquisite slash of satin on her body, exposing golden tan skin in all the right places.

It was no surprise that I hadn't heard her approaching me. She was a werewolf after all and disguising her steps would come easy to her. Not like I would know anything about it. I was clumsy to a fault and about as stealthy as a drunk kitten.
