Chapter Eighty: My water just broke

The room erupted into chaos. The Pack warriors rushed forward to meet the invading wolves. Transforming with their clothes on. Alpha Conor still in human form barks orders to his members directing them on what to do.

Jake about to rush off to join his father in defending their people is crabbed by the Alpha before he could take a step.

“Not so fast, young man,” Alpha Conor says sternly, drawing out a frown from Jake. “I need you to do something for me,” he whispers, as chaos rained around them.

Holding the Alpha’s gaze, Jake waits impatiently for his orders. The death screams of his people had he and his wolf restless, and he is itching to go out there.

“I need you to go get help from the Gray Moon Pack,” he instructs Jake, while holding his eyes seriously. His expression communicating to the young man how important his mission is. The Alpha has judged the situation in the room and believes it is only a matter of time before his people are overwhelmed.
