I sat alone in the hall while Eva and Alex went to get the manuscript. To be honest I was dying with curiosity and impatience but following them unasked didn’t seem like a polite thing to do.
I sat at the edge of the sofa tapping my foot and looking at my watch every two seconds. What was taking them so long?
My mind veered to the day I saw that dream. It was as if someone was urging me to wake up. Maybe urging was not the right word, that voice had practically commanded me.
