Glinda POV

After what happened at Ethan’s party, I had vowed not to attend any more parties, as I believed I did not belong there.

Because why was it that out of everyone in the party, I became the unfortunate one who almost died? Sure, it was kind of planned, a prank and all that, but it didn’t change the fact that something unfortunate could still happen to me at any party…especially Cressida’s.

“You wouldn’t dare say no, would you?” She added, trying to rub it in.

I stared at Cressida, he

Glinda POVThe next day came and this time I didn’t go to Kavrian. I stayed in bed until the clock on the nightstand told me it was mid-morning. When I finally rose I moved quietly, washing my face, changing into casual clothes, braiding my hair into pig tails and just doing random things in my room. I would have gone to meet him, beg, try my best to get him to talk to me like I had been doing in the past few weeks, but I decided not to. I was tired of trying to explain why I had run after Ethan. If I could look past the years of bullying and still choose Kavrian, then Ethan deserved the chance to prove he was more than the person he used to be. Kavrian had to see that. Forcing the conversation while he was still this closed-off would only push him further away. So I decided to let him be, even though the silence felt like it was carving something out of me.I spent most of the day in the bedroom as I read the same page of a book three times without absorbing a single word. I ans

Glinda POVI cried out as sharp pain shot up from the sole of my foot. The glass had pierced so deeply into my legs, the sting hot and unbearable. “Glinda!”Kavrian’s voice cut through the hallway like a whip as footsteps echoed back toward me. I didn’t even have time to process it as in the next second, his arms were under me, scooping me up as though I weighed nothing. He carried me straight to our bedroom, his jaw clenched so tight I could see the muscle jumping beneath the skin.He set me on the edge of the bed and dropped to his knees in front of me. Without a word he took my foot in his hands, turning it carefully. Blood was already welling around the shard of glass still lodged in the soft flesh.“Hold still,” he muttered. He reached for the first-aid kit I kept in the nightstand, yanked it open, and pulled out the small bottle of antiseptic. His movements were hurried, almost frantic as though he feared that if he wasted even a second, I could die. I washed as he poured the

Glinda POVIt’s been one week since that incident. One week since I felt bad for Ethan and tried to render my help to him. Though he didn’t agree to go for therapy, he agreed to work on himself as long as I continued checking up on him. I had come to realize that Ethan had a childhood trauma that had everything to do with him always being the second option. The one who was always thought of, later. He was the one people remembered only after the brighter, louder choice had already been made. He had made it clear to me that day… that I had been the only constant thing in his life. The only one he didn’t have to share, until Kavrian stepped in and took me just like he takes everything else. He had apologized too, for his actions and how he went about things as he stated that he was in a place of distress and had never experienced such a thing before. I understood, I honestly did, and that was why I decided to forgive him. After all, Ethan used to be my first love. Nonetheless, Kavr

The school hallways blurred past me as I ran. I didn’t stop for the teacher who called my name or the classmates who stared as if I had lost my mind. I just kept running, my thoughts fixed on Ethan who I now knew was suffering horribly. Ethan, the guy who used to quietly help me when Kavrian had traveled, the one who would offer to take me to school, blow on my food if it’s too hot, the guy who used to be so nice I legit thought he was an angel. That was the Ethan I was running to. Not the one who embarrassed me after that letter or the one who betrayed me with Cressida. I was running to the Ethan I knew, not the one I abandoned ever since Kavrian came. I didn’t take the bus, nor did I text Kavrian. I simply ran until the familiar gates of the pack house rose in front of me. No one stopped me at the entrance and I knew it had everything to do with both Luna sarah and kavrian. I climbed the stairs two at a time, heart hammering, until I reached Ethan’s door. It stood slightly a

Glinda POV The door closed behind Luna Sarah with a soft, final click, and Kavrian remained standing for a few seconds. His hands flexed once at his sides before he finally exhaled and turned to me. “I don’t know why I let her stay even five minutes,” he muttered.I stepped closer and slid my arms around his waist, resting my cheek against his chest. “Because you’re better than the version of yourself that would have thrown her out without listening. Even if you still don’t trust her.”He was quiet for a long moment, then his arms came around me, holding tight. “I only did it because you asked. Otherwise, I would never have forgiven her for hitting you.” “I know, but she's still your mother and she's trying to make amends.”I said, even though somewhere within myself, I didn't fully believe the words. We didn’t talk much after that as the rest of the evening was quiet…snacks ordered in, a movie neither of us really watched, his hand never far from mine. When we finally went upstair

Glinda POVA few people nearby had turned to watch at this point and someone muttered something under their breath.Nate raised both hands in surrender, muttered an apology that didn’t sound entirely sincere, and retreated up the beach with as much dignity as he could salvage.I stared at Kavrian, equal parts exasperated and secretly, ridiculously pleased. “You didn’t have to push him.”He took one of the melting cones back from me, still scowling in the direction Nate had gone. “He was looking at you like you were on the menu.”“He asked me out. That’s not a crime.”“It is when you’re mine.”I tried to keep a straight face and failed. A soft laugh escaped. “You’re impossible.”“And you’re smiling.” He sat down beside me, shoulder brushing mine. “Scold me properly or don’t bother.”I bumped him with my elbow. “Fine. Don’t shove random guys on the beach. It’s dramatic and unnecessary.” Then, softer, “But thank you. For the ice cream. And for… being you.”He leaned over and licked a dr

Glinda's POVFor the first time ever, I walked through school without being bullied. Everyone kept their distance, watching me as I left. Maybe Kevrian’s offer wasn’t so bad. Dating the Alpha Heir could mean peace…no one would dare touch me, except maybe Cressida, the Beta’s daughter. But even th

Glinda’s POV First day of senior year, and I’ve decided to confess to the love of my life. Ethan Hawk…second son of Alpha Hawk, of the Blackstone pack, and the boy every girl at high school would gladly lose her mind over. I’ve loved him since I learned how to spell my name. Today, he’s finally g

Glinda POV“K-kaivrian?” I asked, still unable to believe that he was truly there. Kaivrian was the definition of handsome, a guy I once thought was created by the goddess herself. He had jet black curly hair that framed his face perfectly, a chiseled chin, perfectly pointed nose, a lip so perfect
