Chapter 58: Confrontation

Olivia’s POV

Absolute shock paralyzed me when my eyes met the all too familiar pair of eyes that belonged to my best friend of almost ten years. Never in a million years did I expect to see her standing in my living room, especially since she lived in Canada. Yet, there she was, right in front of my eyes, with her arms folded in front of her chest.

Am I dreaming?

“Adrina! What are you doing here? Wait, how do you know where I live? And how did you get it?” I blurted out a long line of questions and my feet took a few hesitant steps toward her.

Her eyes narrowed at me. “Don’t you remember? I got your address when I sent you that care package when you first moved in. Anyway, your roommate let me in before she headed out since she recognized me from your social media photos. I came here to surprise you since I had some time off thinking that you were all alone and would love some company. Clearly, I was wrong.”
