I was finally able to leave that wretched place after a few hours of persistence. Belle was being completely unreasonable in wanting to keep me until the evening to give the stitching a few more hours to properly heal the parts of my skin that had been ripped open by Eric’s disgusting beast. I didn’t need the extra time. Kat was doing a fabulous job on her own.
