A few days later, Belle received a contract about First Kiss.

She read through it, and when she made sure that everything was okay, she asked Brandan to sign it.

The remuneration they offered wasn't very handsome. It was 3 million dollars. But it contained an earnout in the contract. If the TV drama sold well and was the most-watched, Belle's company could get about 9 million dollars. If it didn't sell well, Belle's company would pay the investor 50% of their investment. That meant that they would lose money.

However, according to the current situation, it was impossible for this TV drama not to receive a high audience rating.

A week after signing the contract, Brandan headed to the site to shooting scenes.

It was a high-budget television drama with famous directors. What was more, it was adapted from a popular novel that went viral on Twitter. There was no way Belle's company would give up such a good opportunity to propagandize it. They attached so much importance to Brandan's new job that they even dispatched Belle to keep him company so that she could take better care of him.

On their way to the filming location, Belle patiently said many things to Brandan. She stressed that he should get on well with the second male lead.

Television dramas adapted from BL novels were challenging for the leads. If they didn't get along, they would mess up the drama.

An outgoing Brandan patted his chest and said with a grin, "Don't worry. I'll make good friends with the second lead. You have my word on it."

Even so, Belle somehow was still worried.

Along the way, she felt anxious.

When they arrived at the booting ceremony, they were told that the actor who had gotten the part for the second lead couldn't attend because his flight was delayed.

Belle released a breath of relief.

However, when she caught sight of that actor's name, her shock knew no bounds.

That actor was Louis.

The words "Louis Reed" hit her like a thunderbolt. What happened six years ago came back to her. Even though six years ago passed, she still couldn't help trembling with fear.

She took a deep breath to calm down. She told herself that it was just a coincidence, and that actor couldn't be him.

How could a bad person who got busted at 18 years old become a celebrity?

After the opening, she went to the director. There was something that she had to confirm immediately.

Seeing that she was so nervous, Howard thought that she was worried that the two leads couldn't get on well. He patted her shoulder and reassured her, "Don't worry. Guys about their age will be friends in a few days."

Belle smiled awkwardly.

"Do you have his picture?" She went straight to the point.

"I do. Hold on." Howard opened the file and showed it to her. It was the actor's introduction sent by the investor's company.

Bell scanned through the file, and soon she saw his pictures.

When she rested her eyes on the man in silk pajamas, she gasped in astonishment.

It was him!

She dug her nails into her palms.

Later, Howard told her something, but she didn't pay attention to it. Absent-minded, she went back to Brandan's nanny car.

She sat there staring blankly for an entire afternoon. In the end, she got everything ready and took a week off from her company.

This week, she seldom went out.

There were many things she couldn't understand. And there were some problems she didn't dare to think about.

She had witnessed how cruel and crazy Louis was. She put him in prison back then, and she was convinced that he hated her.

No matter why he came back here, he would definitely not let her go.

She was indeed scared.

However, she knew that she couldn't hide from him for the rest of her life.

This week, she was so terrified that she often couldn't fall asleep at night. She was anxious, sleepless, and even learned how to smoke.

After spending a miserable week, she mustered up some courage and set off to the filming location.

When she got there, a makeup artist was putting make-up on Brandan. When he saw her, he greeted her.

"Here you are, Belle," he said while taking her hand.

"What's up?" Belle asked.

"That Louis Reed guy is too difficult to get along with. He always pulls a long face. I don't know how to work with him. We couldn't pass once when we shot a scene. I'm such a poor guy!" he complained.

"Oh, is that so?" Belle clenched her hand into a fist and asked, "He is crabby?"

People thought that Louis was easygoing because he loved to smile. When he smiled, he would look friendly. But they didn't know how possessive and bigoted he was when it came to her.

He was a good actor. At least when they first met, she thought he was delightful, well-behaved and outgoing.

Why did Brandan say he was difficult?

"I have no idea. I've never talked to him except for the lines. I even suspect that he's dumb or something. Besides, he's so handsome that makes others feel inferior. I don't dare look him in the eye," he said.

His words left Belle perplexed.

She started to recall what Louis looked like.

Speaking of which, she had lived with him for a month, but she had never observed him carefully. As far as she remembered, he had fair skin and was tall. Besides, he was scary.

She was not in the mood to pay attention to his appearance.

When she heard Brandan's words, she had butterflies in her stomach.

He was back. He was different and didn't like to smile anymore.

That he had changed made her uneasier.

"Perhaps it's because you two don't get acquainted. Things will be better when you get to know each other," Belle consoled him.

In fact, she didn't believe what she said.

She then heaved a sigh as she realized that it was normal for the lead actors to kiss when they first encountered.

"Just pounce on him and do what you should do. Anyway, you're going to use a fake kiss. You don't have to touch his lips, do you?" Belle said worriedly.

"Even though it's a fake kiss, I'm afraid that he will hit me. How do I have the nerve to actually kiss him?" It was evident that he was reluctant to shoot the scene in the afternoon.

"Don't worry," Belle said as she patted him on the shoulder to comfort him. "I'll go with you."

"Are you going there to give me some courage?" Brandan grinned cheekily as he was back to normal.

"I'm going to bury you," Belle joked, rolling her eyes at him and preparing herself for the afternoon's work.

"You're so mean," he whispered and closed his eyes to memorize his lines.
