"I suggest you relax, Em," Lia suggested with a smile.

They were in the living room, watching the television, but Emily could not pay attention. She kept looking at her phone, waiting for Lucian's text message or call. It had been a week since he left for some pack affairs, and Emily hadn't heard from him since then. He sent him a few text messages, but those even went on read at all.

"It's just weird for him to not check his phone for that long," Emily reasoned. "Do you think there's a problem in the pack right now? I can't help but worry."

"It's impossible. Your husband's pack is the strongest, and he and Tyler can surely handle problems in the pack," Lia assured her, passing the popcorn on her.

Emily smiled a bit, but the worry remained in her chest, or maybe she just really missed him. She didn't know. The feelings she had for Lucian went deeper and stronger, and her mind seemed only to know nothing but scream Lucian's name. It was cringed, but that's how she described it.

"Le
