Book I: Olivia

Olivia Black stared at the letter infront of her. She knew this was coming and she was excited.

Ms. Olivia Black,

I'd like to welcome you as one of the Guardians of the Isle. We are excited to welcome you into our fold. I trust that this letter finds well and that you are also excited about your new assignment.

As mentioned during the orientation you need to transfer all your accounts and residency to Lunar city in the next 45 days. I'd like to welcome you to on behalf of all of Active Guardians on duty. Each of us will play a role to ensure your successful integration into the fold.

Since she was a child she knew this was her destiny. When she comes of age she will take up her position as one of the active Guardians of the Isle.

Olivia closed her eyes as she thought of Granny Ada or Agatha Rossavelt. She was one of the most powerful guardians who ever served and protected Woodwell forest. She didn't know why she was chosen to inherit Granny Ada's powers but she was thankful.

Zzzzz......zzzzz

She was awaken from her thoughts as her phone vibrated. When she saw the incoming message, she felt conflicted as she saw the sender's name.

'Trevor'

She opened the message and smiled. 'I am picking you up in 30 minutes. We are going to try that new mexican place' Olivia felt her butterflies as she stood up and got ready.

Olivia tried on several dresses before choosing a white sundress. She was excited as she went down the stairs but her happy was short lived as she saw her siblings waiting for her.

"Finally you are here Olivia I am so hungry" Alfie commented as hurried them out the door. Outsode Trevor Colton was leaning against his car as he waited for the Black siblings.

Olivia stole glances at Trevor before Thomas led her to the car. She sat in the window seat in the middle. Trevor was on the driver seat, Julia rode shotgun, and she shared the middle seat with Alfie and Thomas. She watched as Julia and Trevor talking amd laughing and her heart broke.

She stared at her pinky left finger, a unique red mark encircled around her pinky. It looked like a string was tied around it. This symbolize that you met your fated partner.

She glanced at the matching red marked encircled around Trevor's right pinky finger. It has been 7 years since this formed in their finger.

It seems like it was only yesterday that it happened. It was a bright and sunny day we were all in the field behind the Black House. It was a rare occassion were Alpha Colton and a few other Alpha's were visiting the house.

The smell of grilled meat filled the air, the sound of chatter and laughter were heard. A year has passed since she was reunited with her family. A week before that barbeque Bentley suprised everyone and undergone his first transformation. He was proud as he showed off his wolf form to Trevor and the rest.

At the time Olivia was with in her Dad's arms. They were watching Bentley as he transformed from wolf to human. When suddenly Trevor began to shake and contort down on the floor. He began to cry as he felt pain. Her Dad and Alpha Colton hurried to Trevor's side and began to guide the boy in his first transformation.

Olivia was amazed as she looked at Trevor's wolf form he was a beautiful silver furred wolf. When he finally finished transforming he immediately went towards her.

When they first transform the animal side is more in control than the human side. To everyone's surprise the little wolf followed her everywhere. It usually takes 2 hours before they could transform back to their human side.

"Daddy can I go down and play with Trevor?" 7 year old Olivia asked. "Sure honey but be careful" Oliver gently put her down. She didn't know why but she was drawn to the wolf. She patted Trevor's head and the little wolf licked her hand. Trevor then pounce on top of her. They bith fell on thr ground with the little wolf on top of her.

The little wolf then licked her face as he wagged his tail. Olivia giggled and laughed as the wolf kept on licking her face. Oliver watched the scene and felt his anger rising. His protective instinct went to overdrive as she scooped up his daughter.

The wolf growled and barked at Oliver. As the Alpha walked away he closely followed them. He guarded Olivia and became her shadow. When Bentley and Thomas went near Olivia, the wolf growled at them. Every male became a threat and he barked at all those who went near her.

During the 2 hours of Trevor's transformation he was Olivia's shadow, no matter where she went the little wolf followed. Oliver tried to put a distance between them but the little wolf growled at him. Oliver shared a knowing look with Trevor's dad.

Trevor with the Alphas guidance returned to his human form. Immediately after transforming he collapse from exhaustion. But everyone noticed that is his right pinky a red mark appeared similar to Olivia's left pinky.

That night her parents sat her down and explained to her what that meant. Trevor Colton was her fated person. She was so excited but when they met again to her surprise he kept his distance from her.

Even now after 13 years there would always be a distance between them.

"Come on we arrived" Thomas slowly tapped her shoulder, waking her up from her trip down memory lane. She held Thomas hand as they entered the restaurant. They sat on a long table as usual she was seated between Thomas and Julia.

As they seated a waitress approached them and handed them the menus. "What do you want to eat?" Thomas asked his sisters. "I want some tacos and spicy chicken" Julia stated "I want some too but with some chips and dip" Olivia said as she handed the menus to her brothers.

While the boys ordered Olivia's phone rang as she saw the name of the calling. "Who is it?" Julia curiously asked her sister. "It is Charles, the one I told you about from training" Olivia answered before excusing herself to take the call.

'Charles!?' Trevor thought before he could ask who was that Olivia already left the table. He could only watch her back as she walked away.
