Chapter 32: Celebration

The Next Morning!

After all that took place the day before, here we are at the beginning of a fresh new day! Because I was always keeping an eye on my father during the night, I never got nearly enough sleep. Now it's time to travel back to the house, where I would rest for a while.

After Luna Catherine had departed with the guard the previous night, I remained up the whole night ruminating on what I had seen. My mind could not get itself around how she winked at the Guard.

Before Mona and Alpha Derrick's engagement can take place, I just have to be at my father's side and look out for him before that moment arrives. Considering his present condition, I can't continue being with him if I have been reduced to the status of a slave. And I am well aware that, if I am no longer around, he would be neglected by everyone else.

Since he assisted me in delaying their engagement, I feel that this is the very least I can do for him to demonstrate my gratitude and appreciation for his assistance
