Adrain’s POV

“I can see, your beta is just as strong,” he murmured, a devilish smile on his face. “However this is your end Adrian”

And with that, he signalled for the remaining two rogues to hold Elysia, then he took A few steps forward before charging at me with a loud roar.

I stood my ground, my hand tightening around the hilt of my sword. I could feel some of my wounds had already healed now. I should be at least seventy ro ghy percent healed now.

His feet pounded against the forest floor, crushing dead leaves and snapping small branches.

He was fast, faster than most rogues I had faced. And big. Muscles bulged across his arms and chest. His baldhead was shiny with sweat, and his eyes glowed with pure hatred.

I didn’t move until the last second. When he was close enough to strike, I stepped to the side and swung my sword.

He ducked and rolled, missing the blade by inches. The rogue came up on one knee, grabbed a handful of dirt, and threw it at my face.
