I’m not gay...sir...I'm not attracted to men...I don't find men attractive.,” Jace said quickly. “Okay...that was way too straight forward.” Elias stood, two hands on his hips, frustrated at what Elias just said. "Sorry sir" "Stop Calling Me SIR!" Jace kept quiet and didn't respond. "The other day, you said I was attractive." Elias pointed out, trying not to look more frustrated. "Sir, that was....it was...I just admired and appreciated your appearance...cause we hardly find anyone with your looks...nothing more sir." Jace adjusted himself on the bed, still covered and protecting himself for his own dear sexual orientation. Elias, a powerful and blind Alpha, has waited a lifetime for his mate but he never expected it to be a Null. Nulls are servant-class werewolves, ranked even lower than Omegas, and they don’t go into heat. Especially not someone like Jace a sharp-tongued Null who insists he’s straight and not the least bit interested in men. In their world, Alphas don’t mate below Omega. Servants are expected to bond only with their own kind. But everything changes when Jace starts going into heat, something Nulls aren’t supposed to experience. Is Jace really what he thinks he is? Or is something awakening inside him? Will Jace give in to the pull to Elias? Will Jace and Elias pull off this forbidden relationship?
View MoreOnce, in a stone mansion at the edge of the forest, lived a young Alpha named Elias. He was born blind which his Father detested. He thought of him as a bad stain to their bloodline.
Eventually, they found out that his blindness wasn't a weakness, because he was strong. He could also hear better than anyone, smell or feel your presence better than any wolf.
His Father chose that mansion in the forest because the whole forest belonged to their pack and Elias could train there with the warriors without causing damage to the society at large.
The warriors lived in the mansion, a mansion so big there were so many rooms available. Asides warriors, only female servants were taken into mansion and allowed to serve Elias. That’s what Elias wanted, that's how it had always been, until one rainy morning.
“He looks small and weak,” muttered a guard at the gate. “Looks too skinny to be of use.”
“That’s Jace Lacewood, he is 19 years old...don't mind his appearance.” said the woman beside him. “He is the new help from the southern border for the warriors to help them with everyday tasks. He is an orphan.” She turned looking down at him.
Jace stood still in the rain. His shirt was damp, his eyes down. He didn’t speak or complain. He just held the straps of his bag and waited.
“Get moving, boy,” the woman said, giving him a push.
When he got inside he noticed the halls were silent. The kind of silence where even a cough feels too loud. Jace was led to the servant’s wing, the farthest part of the house from the Alpha’s room and secluded from the other servants. He was a lowly werewolf, the lowest in hierarchy after Omega.
On the way he could catch maids glancing at him and whispering to themselves. "Is he the servant type?"
"He looks too attractive to be a servant type.", "Oh my, he has gray long hair.", "Too bad he is a servant type, I would have had him for myself." The whispers went on and on.When they got to his small room, she opened the road, then turned to face him. "If you ever cross paths with the Alpha...don't stare or speak to him,” the head maid warned. “You don’t touch his things or ask him questions if he speaks to you.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Jace said, humbly. He could catch the scent of pine wood and smoke drifting through the walls, and something wild and wondered where it came from.
Upstairs, Elias sat still in his chair with his eyes closed and head tilted. He had been calm all morning, but then a foreign scent suddenly came to him. It hit him like fire, like frost, like the woods in spring. It wrapped around his lungs and tugged at his chest. It was a scent he had never sniffed before, warm cinnamon and wild violets that made him feel intoxicated but peaceful.
"Oh my! My wolf actually reacted to someone's scent?" He muttered as he opened his eyes.
“Gavin! Who just entered the mansion?” Elias asked, with his deep voice.Gavin, his Beta and best friend, raised an eyebrow. “A new boy, servant type. He came in soaked from the rain.”
Elias sniffed the air again, deeper this time. “He doesn’t smell like a servant,” he said. “He smells like...peace.”
“Peace?” Gavin blinked. “That’s new.”
“I want him.”
“Elias, he is a lowly servant, lesser than an Omega!”
“I want him as my personal servant. Find out who he is.”
Gavin hesitated. “But Elias, you’ve never asked for a male servant before...”
Elias turned his face toward the window. His blind eyes looked like pale glass. “I don’t care. Bring him.”
Jace was folding linen given to him when they found him. “Come with me,” Gavin said.
Jace flinched. “Did I do something wrong?”
Gavin chuckled, he did look cute but it's not like Elias can see him. “No. The Alpha asked for you.” He responded.
Jace’s heart cut into two at the sound of 'the Alpha'. “ I...what?”
Gavin didn’t answer, he eyed him head to toe and just walked out. Jace followed him immediately.
He was told; only chosen servants made it to the top two floors where Alpha stayed. But yet, on his first day, he was being led up to meet the Alpha. Step by step, he passed through halls that a lowly servant wasn’t supposed to see. The deeper they went, the quieter the house grew.
Until finally, Gavin stopped at a door, then opened it. There he was, Elias - The Blind Alpha.
He stood near the fireplace, tall and broad shoulders. His hair was black like charcoal, some dropping down on his face, some over his eyes. His eyes were open but obviously not seeing. And yet he turned and looked right at Jace.
“You’re the new one,” Elias said.
“Yes, Alpha,” Jace answered, nervously.
“What’s your name?”
“Jace Lacewood.”
Elias stepped closer. The Alpha Elias people heard stories and rumors of. “You smell like something I haven’t felt in years,” Elias said.
Jace didn’t know what to say to that. He looked down at his hands, trembling. Elias moved closer, his hands slowly reaching out to touch him. "Don't move, little wolf."
When he got to is front, he leaned down slightly, and then his two hands finally came on Jace face, then slowly moved to his hair while taking in Jace's scent. He could feel Jace trembling.
He chuckled, gently holding Jace's chin up. “I want you to serve me,”
Jace’s heart skipped. “But...I’m not trained for that. I’m not...”
“A female?... I don’t care,” Elias interrupted. “You’ll start tomorrow.”
Gavin wanted to step in. “Elias...”
“I said what I said,” the Alpha snapped at Gavin, then softened as he turned back to Jace. “I need...some peace.”
Gavin sighed. “Fine. Your call.”
Jace couldn’t move or breathe until Elias let go of his face. His body was felt chills and his mind was caught up in questions.
Why him?
Why now? It's just my first day.
That night, in the servants wing, whispers floated like dust.
“He is the servant of the Alpha now?”
“What did he do to deserve it?”
"How can a lowly servant be taken to serve the Alpha, when those in higher ranks never got to even step in the top two floors?"
Many were angry, annoyed and jealous.
But Jace ignored them all. He lay awake, staring at the ceiling. He thought of Elias’s face. How still it was. He didn’t understand why Elias made such a decision. He just wanted a quiet life in one corner of the house with no attention. But things weren't going as planned.
For some reason, his body started feeling weird. But he couldn't understand what it was and why. It made him uncomfortable and sleepless.
Meanwhile, far away, in his high room, Elias sat alone by the fire, as he pressed a hand to his chest. It ached low, deep, like something scratching to get out. His wolf didn’t speak and wasn't active. Not yet but it stirred. It was just a flutter, just a whisper under his ribs.
“Why him?” Elias murmured.
There was no answer. Only the soft crackle of fire. He only knew he wanted more of that scent around him.
"Tomorrow, I will ask Gavin to move Jace to stay on the floor below me." Elias mumbled to himself and smiled. He couldn't wait to test and find out if Jace was truly the one for him...the one he has waited for for a long time...
Chapter 30"Close the doors, Jace," Madam’s instructed with a smirk that hinted to Jace that he was probably in a set up.Jace hesitated, his hand resting on the brass handle. "Ma'am… is Young Master Elias not...""I said, close them." Her gaze cut at Jace like a blade. "Don't make me repeat myself."The heavy oak doors swung shut with a deep thud that seemed to seal the room in a different kind of air that made Jace's heart beat faster. "Well…" the Eastern Luna candidate was the first to rise from her seat. Her gown shimmered in pale gold as she glided closer. "Up close, you’re even prettier than I expected...wearing this..." Her eyes looked like she could eat him as a snack."Prettier? No," the Northern daughter corrected, eyes roaming him from hair to boots. "He’s… alluring... Look at those grey lashes, the silky looking hair and those lips." She was the top candidate from our pack for Elias but right now, she was feasting on Jace with her eyes.Jace steppe
Chapter 29"Don’t tell me he’s in...""No, no, no, madam!" the butler yelped, throwing himself between her and the door like a very flustered, very determined wall. "You mustn’t!"She narrowed her eyes. "Mustn’t what?""Enter!""Why not? Elias is my stepson. I’ve seen him in worse situations...since he was young.""Yes, but… he’s, um… unclothed."Her brows lifted."With a fever," the butler added quickly. "And sweating and possibly contagious!""Sweating? Elias doesn’t get fevers. He’s built like a...""He’s resting," the butler said firmly, clutching the letter Elias father gave him to his chest. "And I must insist we respect his privacy."She glared at him suspiciously, but the butler just widened his eyes like an innocent forest creature."Who are you to tell me what to do?" She spoke, getting pissed. "Sorry ma, but I am in charge of our young master, his privacy is my top most responsibility before obeying you...you can report me to Alpha L
"Alpha! Your father said you should...." The butler's voice interrupted their intimacy time. Elias and Jace both turned in slow, synchronized horror. There, at the bathroom door, stood the butler with a tray in hand, and his expression was wide-eyed and frozen. His gaze landed on Elias in the bath, naked, soaked, flushed… and Jace on top of him, lip-swollen, breathless, and water clinging to his skin. Then Elias holding tight to Jace's arched back. "OH MY!" the butler gasped, his monocle nearly falling from his eye. Jace yelped and tried to leap off Elias, slipping again and nearly taking them both underwater. Elias caught him with a grunt. "Seriously? Again?" "I’m so sorry! I didn't see anything! Carry on! Carry on!" the butler sputtered, backing up so fast he nearly tripped over his own shoes. "I...I will just deliver the message later. Yes, much later." With
"I need you to suck my nipples, Little Wolf."The words dropped into the steamy air shocking Jace. He froze as his heart skipped, then raced, then turned into a thousand fluttering birds trapped in his chest. Did he really just say that?Elias wasn't sure if what happened was real or not but he wanted to play the psychological card to find out. Elias’s breath brushed against Jace's ear, hot and shaky."You heard me," Elias whispered, his voice almost a growl. "I know you did already."Jace pulled back slightly, eyes wide and trembling. "Y-you remembered?"So he wasn't just dreaming. Jace actually sucked on his nipples. He thought. Elias didn’t answer at first. But his hands tightened around Jace’s waist. He wanted to get mad at Jace but he thought about it, does that mean Jace is finally giving up to him and he could finally have Jace for himself? "I thought it was a dream," Elias admitted, lips grazing the side of Jace's jaw. "You licking me... sucking me.
Jace's lips were soft. Elias felt it first as shock, then as a blaze that lit his every nerve on fire.Neither of them moved at first, frozen in the kiss. Steam wrapped around them like a cloak, as if the room itself was holding its breath.Jace's eyes fluttered open wide, and Elias blinked slowly, their mouths still gently pressed."Mmmph!"Jace froze, his eyes wide, his hands clutching Elias’s shoulders desperately. But Jace suddenly pulled back a mere inch, stammering. "I-I'm sorry! I slipped..I didn’t mean to...I wasn’t..."But Elias’s hand moved, cupping the side of Jace's wet face."Shut up," Elias whispered. "Just... shut up."
"Jace?"Elias's voice echoed off the steamy walls, it was cold and sent shivers down his spine. Jace stood frozen like a deer caught in torchlight, clutching the basket of towels like it could protect him. But he didn't respond."Jace?" Elias increased his tone. "Are you the one?" "Uh...uhm...Yes...sir." Jace responded. But he wasn't happy that Elias kept calling him Jace instead of little wolf."W-why are you here?" Elias asked, brow furrowing. Then he leaned back trying not to look flustered by Jace's presence. He said he is straight and has a mate but he just walks in on me naked in the bathroom. Elias thought, various thoughts going through his mind. "I-I didn’t mean to… I mean, the butler told me to bring..."Elias sat up in the tub, water shifting around his broad chest. "The butler told you? Really? And you just listened?"Jace swallowed. His heart pounded so loud, Elias could probably hear it without his enhanced senses."He said... he was busy with the candidates," Jace mut
