Chapter 17

ANDREW

Lyra has not left the guest room in several days, expect for to come down and check on Alva. While at a pack meeting, she moved all of her belongings out of my bedroom and changed the lock on the guest bedroom door. Every time I walk past the door, I want to break it down in anger. Brax has gone silent in my head for upsetting our mate and Alva, too, seems to be irritated with my actions.

“How dare you treat your mate in such a manor?” Alva says as she tries to push herself up in the bed. “I told you to protect her. Now the child is in here everyday trying to figure out how to give me my power back.”

Helping Alva sit up, I place several pillows behind her back. “I do not know how to fix this,” I admit. “She wants me to reject her so she can leave.”

“I told you to protect her,” Alva fusses at me like she did when I was a pup. “Fix it.”

The last vision bothers me. Alva said that Lyra could have many mates, but only the one she marks is her true mate. Could James also be a mate, and that is why she couldn't see her face? We will have to wait and see!!
