[1.1]. IMMORTAL

THE VIBRATION OF the roar shook the very core of the earth, the trees quivered, leaves floating down to the earth, quaked off their stems, causing the witches, the guardian, and the 4 humans littered in the field to step back in awe at the beast that stood majestically before them. A tremble ran through their bodies, a sharp command prodding through their minds.

The command told them to kneel, to cower, and to fear.

It told them how insignificant they really were. It told them they were about to understand what it meant to have true power.

The beast lowered its large head, its golden scales glimmering in the sunlight, so bright, it would have made them blind had the clouds not covered the sun, dimming it to a deeper gold.

The behemoth took a step forward and the earth shook Alessia holding on to her mother tightly fearing for her life, and equally scared Ally beside them.

This might have been what she spent a lifetime figuring it out but she wasn't prepared for this, not this at all.

Alessia stared up at the beats, unable to describe what she was feeling. The aura around the Dragon was different than the one known to it before, so much so that she just didn't know who this was anymore. It felt like it wasn't the Azian she had grown up with. His presence was unearthly. If she thought she could sense the power off of him before, now it was suffocating her, everywhere she looked, she could sense it.

Edwin raised an eyebrow at the Beast, breathing low, shaking his head slightly. This was what he was supposed to protect? What the hell would his beast do to protect that?

The question echoed in his head as suddenly the mimicked sound of a hurricane flooded his ears, Alpha's wings coming into view, looking much like the ones he had when he was human but a billion times larger in Alessia's mind.

They had to be large to lift his ridiculously huge body off the ground.

And they were powerful.

They disrupted nature with every flap, the tree leaves blowing back as if bowing at his presence.

His powerful wings lifted him off the ground, not sparing any of the trees that were too close to his body, either slicing or completely destroying them as he pulled himself off the ground.

He flew right by them as if to show them how magnificent he was and how alarmingly small they were as compared to him.

As he passed by them, it felt as if they had been surrounded by a large golden wall, so close, they could see every detail of his scales, as glorious as they were.

Abigail caught a glimpse of his deep golden dragon eyes which blinked only once as he passed them, his fork-like armored spiked tail trailing after him, as a deep roar rumbled through him, propelling him into the air, the ground shaking as he lifted off, tearing through the sky, climbing higher and higher.

They watched as he became nothing but a golden shimmery blob in the sky, Aunt Lilli letting out a sigh of relief, wiping away the sweat from her forehead.

"He burnt the grass-" Edwin stated a little fazed at the whole thing.

They all looked at the ground and sure enough, the nice green grass was turned into a dead brown. The blades of grass that had been too close to his body when he flew past them had been burnt to ash.

"He didn't even breathe fire," Maria argued, her eyes trailing to the forest trees where they had first seen the Beast standing.

There was no grass left there, it was nothing but a large circle of brown earth. The trees that were close to him, which had survived his decapitation, were burnt on one side. Their leaves either a dead brown or literally ash falling from their branches.

"It's just his dragon heat, " Ena replied and yet her tone was riddled in absolute awe, her hands ripping her head wrap off to let herself breathe from the hot air Alpha had left surrounding them.

"W-WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!" Gabrielle yelled, her eyes wide open, mouth agape.

It was only then they all turned to her. She was literally shaking, looking as if she had just seen death itself. Her voice skipped as she gripped onto Liam glancing at all of them in horror. "DID YA'LL SEE THAT?" She asked, her heart pounding ferociously.

She looked around shaking her head. Very sure at this point she had lost her mind,  "Where the hell am I? w-what is ll this? I was at-at, then I..." She trailed off glancing at Liam then Lillian.

"Relax, " Ena began, wanting to walk over. Another reason why humans were best left out of the supernatural world.

They overreacted to everything.

"It's okay Ena, Liam and I got this, " Lillian replied, as Gabrielle's eyes trailed from the witch to her cousin in shock.

"Mom!" Alessia called out as Anna slumped to her knees, falling to the ground, Ally trying to hold her up for a second.

Alessia hovered over her mother as Abigail quickly joined her, searching for the bite that was placed on her right shoulder.

She looked up as Maria and Ena joined them, "We need to take her into the shade, then take the poison out," Abigail explained.

Edwin was on it, lifting Anna up into his strong arms, walking toward the nearest group of trees, settling for the closest.

Alessia hurriedly took off the jacket she had been wearing, laying it on the ground beneath the tree before Edwin laid Anna on it.

Abigail immediately began to work, muttering a few words over and over again.

She focused her magic on Anna, repeating the ancient spell that could cure a vampire bite.

"Okay, let's give them some air love," Ena began, gently pulling Alessia along, glancing at Edwin who nodded taking charge with Alessia.

"No, she's my mother, I need to be here," Alessia argued, pulling away from him.

"She will be alright, please Alessia," Abigail called back, stopping for a moment.

There was a slight pause as Alessia glanced between Abigail and the unconscious figure of her mother, hesitating for a moment.

She breathed out harshly before stomping away.

"Take care of her," Abigail said to Edwin before turning back, "Ena, I need you, this is a long spell."

Edwin nodded as Ena took Abigail's hand and began to chant, leaving in Alessia's direction.

Maria watched them for a moment before Abigail told her to check on Gabrielle, as this spell was sure to take a while.

She followed the instruction moving toward the three who had taken a seat a few trees away.

As she got closer, she heard Gabrielle scolding the daylights out of Lillian and Liam, "Why didn't you tell me about all this Lillian? Huh? You allowed Kaya into all this! Good heavens, what's got into you?!" She screeched, looking as if she was on the verge of ripping her lovely hair out.

"The only reason I allowed her to live at your home, was because I thought you would do a much better job than this son of a baboon-" She continued,  pointing at Liam who sighed in defeat.

"How many times should I have to explain I was under a curse, Gabrielle? Come on!" Liam groaned to which Gabrielle only snorted, "Curse or not, you best believe it's going to take a lot more than a simple sorry for what you put me though!" She snapped back, her tone was anything but kind, "that's OUR daughter Liam, we don't know where OUR daughter is! I should never have trusted you!"

"Gabrielle, it wasn't his fault-" Lillian began.

"Oh really? So who's fault is this huh? Because I have a thing or too to say to them!" She scolded, she frowned staring at both of them, "I should have never trusted either one of you!"

"Am I interrupting something?" Maria asked, causing all three of them to look up at her, Ally gave her a tired glance.

After listening to grown-ups argue she had decided to pass out in the grass beside them, wondering what her mother would think, spending all this time away from home.

"Yes!" Gabrielle snapped, just as Lillian and Liam said No.

They glanced at each other before Lillian sighed, standing up, "Is Anna going to be okay?" She asked, with a concerned look as she glanced behind Maria,  at Abigail and Ena's figures.

"Oh, yeah, of course. However, healing a vampire bite is a long process, " Maria replied glancing back at where she had come from, "it's gonna take a while."

"Vampires? Now their vampires? " Gabrielle scoffed, folding her arms, giving both Lillian and Liam a hard glare, "you didn't tell me that."

Liam closed his eyes breathing out, trying to stop himself from computing, "the things that attacked us were vampires. They are the ones that took Kaya, and bit Anna," Liam explained.

Gabrielle glanced over at the other tree, remembering the woman that had been healing Kaya. As angry as she was, she felt a slight bit of concern, "will she turn into a- I can't believe I'm saying this-but will she turn into a vampire?"

"Goodness no," Maria began with a short chuckle, shaking her head, "I mean she could, but the mother witch is here, she will be alright," She replied with a slight giggle.

"So all three of you are-uh-witches?"

"Yes, but I'm a middle witch."

Gabrielle raised one of her perfectly done eyebrows, wondering if that was supposed to mean something, "and that is?"

"Middle witches are witches who can't do any magic but have magic flowing within them. No one really understands it, but I guess it's just how nature balances it out, " she replied with a careless shrug.

"So you're practically human, with magical blood."

"I guess so," Maria replied, with a kind grin.

"So what do vampires want with my daughter?" Gabrielle asked as Maria and Lillian took a seat.

Maria glanced at Lillian and Liam, "you haven't told her?"

"We told her everything we know, mates, dragons, and Lycans, but we don't know about the vampires, " Lillian replied.

Maria nodded, "Well, Azian was considered the most powerful thing in the world, but Kaya can control his dragon, so my best bet is that by capturing her they can use him, or keep him under control, " she stated, as Ally sat up to hear more about this, every bit of information was welcome,  "but then,   they might not know Kaya can control Azians dragon, so they might just be using her as bait to get to him, either way, they need her."

"But is she safe?" Gabrielle asked watching Maria's features attentively.

"I don't think they would hurt her, " Maria replied, "Azian would definitely sense if anything bad had happened to her, and I know the last thing anyone would want is a crazed revengeful golden dragon."

Gabrielle nodded, gulping lightly, remembering the monstrosity she saw, "Is that how all Dragons are?" She asked.

Maria chuckled thinking back to young naive Orion, "not at all, Azian is Alpha, understandably he is much bigger and stronger." Maria replied.

"Alpha?"

"More like King or Head of a species."

"Oh and this Azian, he is the-?"

"The dragon in human form" Lillian replied, a little proud she could answer a question, receiving an approving nod from Maria.

Gabrielle nodded slowly still trying to put two and two together, " dragon, human, human, dragon-this is just..too much for me to handle," she said shaking her head,  it was only then they saw the glassy tears threatening to spill from her eyes.

Liam immediately pulled her closer, as she buried her head into his chest, sobbing softly.

"She will be alright, believe me, Azian won't rest till he finds her" Maria assured.

Lillian rubbed her cousin's shoulder sighing, before suddenly glancing up at Maria, "so where is he? He hasn't gone back to our world has he?" She asked wondering how the hell people would react seeing a dragon that large completely annihilating their homes, burning every and anything in his way.

"I don't think so. Abigail can sense him, otherwise she wouldn't still be here. My best bet is that he is probably hunting. Azian did say the first thing a dragon thinks of when he is sent free is hunting. I'm guessing he is off-blowing off steam. Alpha may be a lot of things, but he is definitely not stupid or reckless."

Lillian nodded slowly, shivering at the thought of Alpha as his image came into memory, "he is one huge beast," she said once more and all agreed.

Gabrielle composed herself breathing out, her eyes trailing over the bare field before her, shaking her head, "a pocket?" She scoffed, "I'm in another world."

Maria nodded, "there are many other pockets like this one. It's a shame the first one you saw was half scorched but I assure you, pockets are actually very beautiful places."

Gabrielle nodded, taking a deep breath in. She could still smell the ash and the smoke that hang in the air. But other than that, it felt clean, much cleaner than the Tokyo air she was accustomed to.

She still couldn't believe that in just one day, her life had completely turned around. Things she never knew existed had appeared before her faster than she could deny any of them.

"Maria!" Abigail called, causing all four of them to snap toward the three.

"Is something wrong?" Gabrielle asked, watching Maria frantically get up. She didn't reply, immediately departing from them, half jogging back to the tree.

Gabrielle got up, wanting to follow her, but being stopped by Liam, "where are you going?"

"I'm not going to sit around and do nothing," she snapped, pulling her hand away from him, before following Maria.

"Me too, " Ally replied, following Gabrielle, soon accompanied by Liam and Lillian.

Abigail was sweating profusely as was Ena, a defeated look plastered on her face.

Anna was still unconscious, but she too was sweating, with dark bags underneath her eyelids, her wet hair stuck onto her forehead, a soft agonizing strain tearing through her.

"Why isn't she healing?" Ena asked as the four joined them, gazing up at the Mother Protector.

Abigail breathed out, closing her eyes, only opening them when Anna groaned once more, "shhh, it's alright Anna" she whispered, rubbing her arm.

It was then they noticed how teary-eyed she was looking, as she grabbed a hold of Anna's hand, when she groaned yet again, opening her eyes for a moment.

They gasped when they saw the blood-red, invading Anna's once crystal clear blue eyes before she closed them once more.

"She's not healing," Maria acknowledged kneeling beside Abigail.

Abigail shook her head, gritting her teeth, "it isn't a normal vampire bite, " she began, gazing sorrowfully at Anna, " I-I think she was bitten by a pure blood."

There was a short silence as this sunk into everyone's mind, especially those who knew what a pureblood vampire was.

"B-but that-It can't be, there is only one pure blood vampire alive today," Maria replied, glancing first at Anna then Abigail.

"There should be two, actually, " Ena replied.

Abigail nodded, "Grossowa was defeated centuries ago, but Ambrogio and of course Alec Diarnov are still alive. With this bite it could be either one of them," Abigail replied choking down the whimper threatening to implode.

"So you can't help her?" Gabrielle asked, her eyebrows furrowing as she stared at the lady on the ground.

" You can't heal a bite from a pure blood," Maria replied, her gaze still on Anna.

"So that's it? She'll turn?" Liam asked, horrified.

"The process has already began," Abigail replied, kissing Anna's forehead, as a tear escaped.

Ena watched all this unable to come to terms with the fact that there was nothing they could do. Anna didn't deserve this. She didn't deserve to lose her soul. She was one of the most kind-hearted and good people she had ever met.

"Azian? Can't Azian help?" She asked looking up at Abigail.

"I don't know, it's never been done. Pure bloods are ancient blood lines, they originate from the times of the Golden. If not even they could stop the sickness from spreading, I don't have much hope Azian can either."

"But it's worth a try, " Gabrielle blurted out as all of them looked at her, "I may not know her, " she began, "but if she was my daughter, I would try, and I know she wouldn't want you, her friends just give up!"

Ena, Maria, and Abigail exchanged looks, "of course we won't, but how will we find Azian before the poison reaches her heart? He could be anywhere in the vast pocket, I can't sense his precise location," Abigail replied feeling more defeated.

"Edwin! If anyone can find him he can!" Maria exclaimed getting up,  as she rubbed her dirty knees. Without waiting for confirmation she began to call out ,"Edwin! " her voice resonated past the trees, "Edwin!" She kept calling for a continuous five minutes.

"Are you sure he can hear you?" Lillian asked.

Before anyone could answer, they spotted the small figures of both Edwin and Alessia racing toward them.

"Dragon ears," Maria replied, glancing back at Lilian with a soft grin.

Surprisingly, Alessia was first to arrive with Edwin not so far behind, " Is mom alright?" She asked moving toward Anna.

Edwin arrived, just as Alessia knelt beside her mother.

Abigail shook her head, touching Alessia's shoulder tenderly, " she was bitten by a pure blood," she replied softly, noticing how Alessia tensed, "but we think, maybe Azian can help."

Edwin glanced from Anna to Abigail, "we need you to track Azian and bring him back to camp to at least try, Anna needs him," she pleaded, squeezing Anna's hand.

Edwin paused for a minute, trying to process it all before nodding.

He took a few steps back until he was at a good distance.

"What is he-" Liam didn't finish the sentence because what he saw caused him to swallow his words.

The scales began appearing on Edwin's arms as he shifted right before their eyes into his dragon, Orion.

Gabrielle's eyes widened, furrowing at the sight of the dragon before her, "he is a baby dragon?" She asked looking at what seemed like a miniature dragon to her.

Not that he was small, not by any means, he clearly was big enough to be feared, and extremely frightening, but compared to the one she had seen before it didn't seem as huge or rather, seemed to be still growing.

Orion growled at her, bearing his sharp teeth, causing her to take a step back, his purplish scales gleaming in the sunlight.

"He doesn't like to be teased," Maria warned, with a lopsided grin.

Suddenly the earth shook, causing them all to lose a third of their balance, Orion flapping his wings at the earth cracking sound that followed.

They all turned to see what looked like the largest flame erupting in the distance, looking as if a volcano had erupted a good length away,  as the sky blackened, thick with smoke, the fire dimming as it died out.

"Alpha,"  Ena stated, focusing on the clouds of smoke in the distance.

Ally still couldn't believe the breadth of the blast.

They all watched as Orion headed toward it, gliding beautifully through the air until he was nothing but a speck in the distance.

Anna groaned turning over, "mom?" Alessia pleaded, watching over her.

Abigail shook her head, her eyes gazing in the distance, "please hurry Edwin, " she whispered into the wind.

Orion grunted at this, having had heard every word.

************

Orion flew up in the sky, his dragon eyes seeing right through the clouds that swirled around him. Truth be told, it wasn't hard to spot Azian once being this high.

His large body gleamed like a diamond in the rock, smaller from up here but more visible than anything could be from this height.

He was in a valley, focused on something, in particular, something Orion couldn't see. He flew down, smart enough not to land before the Dragon, knowing fully well he was in a fragile state. At this point, he was sure Azian was more Dragon than man.

This was new territory for him.

Unlike normal dragons, Azian hadn't shifted when he was young, which meant his dragon hadn't had the opportunity to grow and mature as he did.

This was foreign territory, and since his beast was free now, for the first time, there was no telling what he would do. What he considered was a threat and what he considered was worth saving.

So instead, he landed a good distance away, not even able to see the dragon, as he shifted back into human form. He figured a less threatening approach would be best.

An unarmed insignificant  human probably would not be something that would threaten such a monstrous beast.

He climbed up the hill of the valley, latching on to rocks, and roots till he reached the top, breathing heavily, wiping the sweat off his brow as he stood over the valley.

Immediately, he froze when he saw it. The whole valley was dead.

The grass, the trees had all been scorched through, but that wasn't even the worst part.

Bodies.

Herds of what seemed like buffalos had been burnt through, their carcasses laying around, littering the whole valley, the smell of roasted meat in the air.

The culprit dragon was feasting on them, his large wings trailing behind him. Everytime they lifted, they created a wind like effect, his golden scales the only thing that brought color to this dead waste of land.

His sharp teeth tearing through the flesh like nothing.

Edwin watched all this with a subtle shake of the head, " the bigger the dragon, the larger the meal,"  he muttered to himself as he began his descent.

He didn't travel far though, he remained at the base of the hill, in the soot of the fire, knowing fully well if things went south he was better far away from the range of Alpha's dragon fire.

"Azian!" He yelled waving his hands.

The beast didn't look back, still feasting on his meal.

"Azian!" He tried again but still no response.

He sighed gazing at the charcoal field, the smoke which oozed out of it.

He called out a few more times, but he guessed it was either because he couldn't be heard or Alpha had chosen to ignore him.

He paused as something came into realization. He gritted his teeth, " Alpha!" He called with every bit of strength he had.

The Dragon's head immediately snapped toward him. As it breathed out, steam rose from his golden-plated nose, the horns on its head glimmering in the sunlight.

His eyes focused on Edwin.

His wings rose up, as he watched him attentively, dropping the snack from his mouth, looking at him like new prey.

"My King!" Edwin called out, kneeling down.

His knees staining with dirt mixed with ash.

He knew reverence was the best thing to give right now. Dragons were proud creatures. Though Alpha was looking at him as a new snack, he knew he could smell Orion.

Dragons knew their own.

He was right, because after he did this, Alpha approached him, his every step shaking the earth, he stopped a few meters away from him with a low grunt.

However, it was close enough for Edwin to feel the excessive amount of heat he was emitting.

Edwin slowly glanced up, just in time to see his sharp spiked tail curl up before him.

He took a deep breath, never having had been this close to his Alpha, immediately realizing how large he actually was.

He felt so tiny and small as Alpha towered over him, blocking the sun from view.

"You are magnificent, " he said in awe as he watched him, feeling even smaller as Alphas dragon eyes seemed to inspect him as if trying to decide if he was fit for his guardian.

He must have passed, because the next thing he knew, Alpha grumbled, taking a step back, laying down on the scorched earth his body covering an impressive amount of space, his large horns finally resting.

He must have weighed tonnes, looking like a skyscraper.

"My King," Edwin began, hesitating for a second, "Forgive me for interrupting your rest, but Anna needs your help," he explained, still on his knees, his head slightly lowered,  watching as Alphas eyes watched him.

Truth be told, just one of Alphas' eyes was as large as him from his waist down, which made him feel like the dragon could see right through him.

The Dragon grunted as if telling him to go on.

"She was bitten by a pure blood, she doesn't have enough time my lord! She will turn soon if nothing is done. Abigail thinks maybe Omega can help."

He watched waiting for a response but Alpha made no move at all. He instead closed his eyes his large body heaving up and down, exiting such a large amount of heat, Edwin had to take a step back.

His spiked tail swished back and forth, gleaming in the sunlight as he rumbled.

"My King?" Edwin asked.

No answer.

It seemed Alpha was dozing off.

The absolute worst thing he could possibly do at the moment. However, it was logical for him to eat then take a nap.

Right now, he figured Azian was running on pure instinct and had probably forgotten any and everything else that went past his burning dragon desires.

It may be better to head back, Edwin thought turning away, only for Alpha's large tail to crash in front of him, caging him in, a loud threatening growl erupting from the beast.

"Okay, okay," Edwin panted, throwing his hands up in mock surrender,  stepping back into his previous position.

Alpha rumbled, causing the ground to shake with him, Edwin immediately obeying, sitting down on the ash, complaining underneath his breath again at the smell of burning meat that hang in the air.

This is what Alpha wanted he figured, his guardian watching over him while he slept, probably for protection.

Great.

Just what Anna needed.

A sleeping god.

And everybody knows it isn't wise to wake one, especially one who had just formed.

He just had to wait till Alpha woke.

*********

Edwin breathed out, sitting up straighter, his back aching from his stiff position, eyes adjusting to the dimness of the world around him, the sun setting in the deep horizon, he didn't know how he managed to doze off in a sitting position.

He snapped up remembering his mission, expecting to find the large being sprawled around him, but he was met with nothing but emptiness. He stood up searching endlessly but he couldn't spot the beast.

He wondered how Alpha had left without waking him up when the ground literally shook every time he moved. He was a light sleeper, he was absolutely sure anything Alpha could have done would have woken him up immediately, but there was no use thinking about that now.

He had lost a great deal of time.

The earth was still scorching hot from where Alpha had occupied which meant it hadn't been long since he moved.

He searched around, but the surprises kept on coming as he still could not find the large behemoth, even when he shifted and soared high above the clouds, the dragon could not be found.

It was a good hour later when Orion decided to head back to the others, his senses on high alert just in case he could feel Azian, but the flight was silent.

He landed near the others, shifting as Maria jogged toward him with anticipation in her eyes, "what took you so long? Where's Azian?" She huffed out in total desperation.

He didn't know what to tell her as the others gathered around him, "Well? Where is he?" Abigail asked, her eyes widening.

Edwin had never seen her as stressed as she looked now, he shook his head, "I can't find him, " he replied.

Abigail let out a defeated breath, shaking her head, "then she will turn, " she glanced back at Anna, Alessia still by her side, "We should take her home," She announced in defeat, turning away from him.

Edwin watched as they prepared to leave, his heartbreaking at the sight of Anna and a teary, disappointed Alessia beside her.

*********

"Where's Ally?" Lillian asked glancing around.

"I sent her home with a note, you know Kathy ( Ally's mom) must have been worried. I think you all should leave also," Abigail replied, turning to Lillian, Liam, and Gabrielle, after securing Anna.

Anna screamed out once more as she twisted underneath the covers. This was the third time she had done that since they arrived.

"What no, we can't leave! We won't leave you like this, Abigail," Lilian replied.

"Anna..." Abigail trailed off gulping, "Anna's turning, the poison has started to infect her heart, once she's fully turned the first thing she would look for is blood. I don't want anyone else getting hurt."

"I don't care, " Lilian replied glancing at both Gabrielle and Liam, "I'm not leaving."

"Neither am I," Liam replied.

"I'm not going anywhere till I find my daughter, " Gabrielle added.

Abigail was in no mood to argue, feeling more defeated than ever as she glanced toward Alessia, whose tears were rolling down her face as Maria pulled her away from Anna who screamed out once more, fisting the sheets as the sweat poured down from her.

Abigail moved toward her in alarm, taking her hand for comfort, "It's okay, Anna, I'm here," she eased, unable to hide the sob in her voice.

They all watched helplessly as Anna twisted in the sheets.

"We-we should look for blood, when she turns, " Ena suggested slowly.

Abigail shook her head, "creations from pure blood's only drink from live hosts, " she replied.

This caused Lillian, Gabrielle, and Liam to exchange looks.

"I'll give her some of my blood when she turns, my magic is the only one strong enough to stop her from sucking me dry," Abigail replied sniffing as Anna released another scream, her eyes flying wide open, a snarl exiting her tightly pursed lips.

Her blue eyes were now almost completely turned to read, "The poison has infected more than half her heart," Abigail said calmly, "you should all leave us for the moment before her heart stops" she finished. Her tone was low and soft.

There was a slight pause as they looked back at Anna, "please! " Abigail yelled shutting her eyes as tears rolled down her cheeks.

Ena nodded getting up, "I think we should leave them-" before she could finish she felt him.

His presence was suffocating as Azian walked in, in human form. His eyes were gold, exiting his supreme aura causing all of them to freeze.

He looked different.

Still handsome, but in many ways than one, more manly, and more mature.

He hadn't really looked at anyone yet, his eyes focused on Anna's twisting form.

Abigail wanted to say something, but she felt the words end before they even began, watching as he approached them.

She had never felt such a suffocating presence in all her life. His aura rushed all over the room, drowning it in his presence.

He leaned over her, his golden eyes scanning over her shortly, in a second his eyes had spotted her bite.

Anna yelled out, her fingers literally scratching through the sheets ripping them apart as she let out a hard roar, the tips of her canines seemed to be enlarging, the sound of her heartbeat nonexistent.

"She's turning!" Ena gasped.

No sooner had she said it than Azian touched her chest, pressing right above her heart. A moment of since passed between them and then- a heartbeat.

Her eyes suddenly fluttered open, gasping for air as if he had slammed the air right out of her.

Golden veins appeared, snaking around his arms, as his golden eyes entwined with Omegas green. Not like before where they were two separate colors. This time it really looked like the green had blended with gold.

His heat traveled through her keeping eye contact with her for a few seconds, a misty look spreading through her as the pain dissolved into nothing, and her breathing eased. Her tightened fists relaxed before she fell back into bed, closing her eyes.

A peaceful look overtaking her features as she took deeper more meaningful breaths in.

Azian kissed her forehead, lingering there for a moment, before disappearing into nothingness, causing Gabrielle to gasp, clutching on to Lilian.

Abigail immediately inspected her, Alessia rushing to her mother's side, "is she okay? " she asked.

Anna groaned turning around in bed, her hands feeling around her subconsciously.

"Mom?" Alessia called gently.

Anna immediately shot up, a little bit startled, looking around her in confusion, which only built when Alessia propelled herself into her mother's arms in relief.

Anna's eyebrows furrowed, " Alessia?" She echoed patting her hair, as she sobbed onto her mother's neck.

She looked up at Abigail in confusion, watching as Abigail's eyes widened, "Your eyes," was all she said.

These two words pulled Alessia away from her mother's arms inspecting her.

Sure enough, Anna's eyes had changed, they weren't that clear blue anymore. They had their mixture of red, oozing through them.

"W-what?" Alessia gasped, watching as Abigail inspected Anna.

She paused glancing at the people around her, "she still has the poison within her."

"What?" Both Anna herself and everyone else echoed.

Abigail blinked twice failing to understand it as well, " \I think Azian stopped the poison from spreading further," She replied glancing at the shocked expression of everyone.

"I think, he made Anna-uh-He made her a purebred hybrid" she finished, " Anna's an immortal now."

Alessia glanced at her mother examining her eyes, "does this mean she still needs blood to survive? Will she go through blood lust?"

"No, a hybrid is more human than an ordinary vampire. Though more powerful than either. Of course still not as powerful as a purebred vampire but she-" she paused glancing at Anna, " but you will be different, You're now witch and vamp, Anna."

"She's like Khloe?" Liam asked.

"Yes, hybrids of vampire high class are powerful," Abigail replied.

"I'm immortal?" Anna stated.

Abigail nodded, "you are."
