Chapter Twenty-Six

Skirting around the facts.

I turn off the water from the shower and hear raised voices in the next room, where Blake and I sleep. I don’t have the energy for this right now so I quickly get changed and with my hair still wet, climb out of the bathroom window. I wanted to use one of the computers in the break out room to look at apartments and research possible areas. I don’t plan to drive at any time during my life, so it would need to have good train and bus links so I could still get around. As I placed my feet down on the ground outside I hear a throat being cleared behind me. I turn around just as I close the window to see the Alpha looking at me.

“My office now!” He orders at me.

Like a naughty school girl I follow him with dripping wet hair, through the courtyard into a building I hadn’t entered before. Through door after door and up a flight of stairs, we finally entered an office which I presume was the Alpha’s.

“Take a seat!” The Alpha points to a small brown leather sofa

I wouldn’t want to be that douches mate. She had not been ordered by anyone who she knew as authority to stay in place. Tate or whoever had made out like the situation had been handled. Also, what asshole makes his mate submit over something so stupid.
