LOGINElara's POV
“You won't even let me work with my father?” I asked in despair and Rowan scoffed. “You want me to stay here and suffer like your slave?” “I know what you want to do, Elara. And I won't allow it. My words are final. You will stay home and not leave until I allow you to.” He growled and I pulled at my hair in frustration. “What do you want from me, Rowan?” I asked in despair. “I've given you everything you've ever asked for. But you won't even let me live my life in peace? What have I done to you? Was it a crime to love you?” “I don't give a damn about your sentimental acts, Elara!” He yelled and I flinched in shock. “I'm your husband. I won't let you go out there to fuck other men when I didn't give you permission to.” He growled and I scoffed in disbelief. “So this is what it's about. Me fucking other men. You think I'm as promiscuous as you are? You think I'd throw myself at anyone just because you do the same?” I yelled back and he suddenly grabbed my chin harshly as I winced in pain. “You kept forgetting your place, Elara.” He said lowly as he had me pinned to the wall and I scoffed in amusement. “Place? Did you ever give me a place in your life? What place should I remember?” I asked and he froze, his eyes widening. “Let me go, Rowan. I've done everything you've ever asked of me but not this one. You won't stop me from doing what I want to do this time.” “I'm your husband—” “And I'm your wife! But have you ever treated me like one? Let go of me!” I yelled, but his grip tightened even more as he leaned closer to me, his lips close to mine. All I felt was disgust as I stared at him and when he glanced down at my lips, I recoiled from him. “You belong to me, Elara. No matter what. Come with me.” He growled and started to drag me back to my room when I yanked my hand out of his grip. He tried to pull me with him when in anger, I pushed him so hard that he crashed against the wall. I froze in shock when he collapsed to the ground and I saw the dent he had caused to the wall. Did I just do that? “What the hell is wrong with you?” He groaned as he dragged himself off the floor, and I could only stare at my hands in disbelief. I wasn't that strong. I was always weak compared to Rowan, but I had pushed him, an alpha, so hard that he caused a dent in the wall. How the hell? “Fuck you, Rowan. I won't let you control me anymore.” I spat and grabbed my bag, rushing out of the house before he could try to stop me. I got into my car and drove out hurriedly, my mind spinning as I tried to understand how I had pushed him with so much force. Could it be my wolf? My phone rang in my bag and I took it out to see it was a call from Rowan, causing me to groan in frustration. The anger inside me began to rise again and I almost threw my phone out the window. How did I get myself into such a mess with an awful man? I was literally fuming when I arrived at the company that I barely responded to any greetings that came my way. I walked into the reception, trying to turn my ringing phone off when I suddenly bumped into a hard figure and my phone dropped to the ground. The force from the collision knocked me backward and I was sure I would fall when I felt strong arms wrap around my waist, saving me from falling. My body tingled in an odd way when I felt those arms wrap around me and I raised my head, ready to yell at the person. The moment I saw the stranger in front of me, it felt as though time had slowed down. His eyes bore into mine like he could see through my soul and I froze, my heart pounding harshly in my chest. He was so devastatingly handsome, more handsome than any man I had ever seen. His eyes looked like they held a storm in them, and they had me hypnotized for over a minute. My chest rumbled again as I stared at him, something shifting inside me and it became hard to breathe as I gripped his shoulders tightly. It was happening again, and this time, it was even worse, all thanks to this man in front of me. I opened my mouth, trying to suck in oxygen when he suddenly placed his lips on mine, kissing me deeply and I froze in shock. Gasps echoed around me as this hot stranger kissed me like he was starving for my lips and I couldn't bring myself to pull away. I literally melted into the kiss, finding it easier to suck in a sharp breath and he suddenly let go, making me stumble. Then he walked away like he didn't just rock my world with his lips. What the hell? I picked up my phone and glanced around to see that everyone in the reception was staring at me weirdly, making me very uncomfortable. So I hurriedly made my way to the elevator and pressed the top floor. Only after I got out did I breathe out a sigh of relief, my hands moving to my lips. How could he just kiss me and then walk away like he did nothing? I made my way to my father's office still feeling dazed from the kiss. Only my first day and my day was already starting weirdly. I gently knocked on the door and pushed it open to see that my father was talking with someone. When his guest turned to look at me, I froze in shock, my eyes widening as I pointed at him in confusion. “How… what…”Elara's POV “Get away from me,” I said calmly, ignoring the fact that I was extremely turned on by whatever the fuck he was doing right now but he simply smirked.“And if I don't?” He asked, causing me to swallow as I placed my hand on his chest wanting to push him away.“I'm married,” I muttered, ignoring the muscles under his shirt as I tried to push him off me but he didn't budge. “Someone could walk in and get the wrong idea.” “Let them. You want this anyway.” He whispered, and I sucked in a sharp breath before doing what needed to be done.I slapped him hard, and his face tilted to the side just a little before he chuckled, a low, dark chuckle that twisted my insides.“Was that supposed to hurt?” He asked, clearly amused and I stared at him in surprise, expecting to get his ego hurt so he would pull away. But he didn't.“I'll do worse if you don't move away. I told you, I'm married.” I reminded him and he snorted, his fingers gently tracing my cheeks.“You’re married to a man w
Elara's POV My father stared at me in confusion as I stared at the stranger in front of me. He was the same man who had kissed me a few minutes ago at the reception. How the hell did he get here before me?“You… you just kissed me, downstairs! How did you get up here before me?” I asked in shock and he stared at me in confusion, his brows furrowing at my accusation.“I'm sorry, have we met before?” He asked and I scoffed in disbelief, still remembering the feeling of his lips on mine.“What do you mean?” I asked in frustration. “What is wrong with everyone today? You kissed me out of nowhere at the reception. Then you walked away. And now you're here… how is this even possible?” “You're making a mistake, miss.” He replied, shaking his head. “I wasn't the one who did all that. I've been here for over an hour now.” He added, and I stared at him in confusion, then at my father.“Then who…how… what is going on?”“Sit, Elara.” My father finally said and my legs moved on their own as I ma

Elara's POV As absurd as the idea felt, I wanted to believe that something was awakening in me. Because that movement earlier, it wasn't just a random chest issue. Something stirred in me. I grew up believing I didn't have a wolf. I was mocked for it, even; some told me I'd never find a mate.Could it be that my wolf had been dormant these while and was waiting for a moment to awaken? Was this why the bond between Rowan and me was drifting apart?I was so deep in my thoughts as I sat on the couch that I didn't notice Rowan walk down the stairs with Monalisa behind him. Only when they walked past me did I finally notice and I didn't bother to glance at them twice before making my way upstairs.“Elara.” I heard Rowan call to me as I reached the top of the stairs and I paused. “We made quite a mess. Clean up the room for me, will ya?” He asked and I heard Monalisa snicker while I clenched my hands into fists.I simply walked away without responding as I made my way to the room where the
Elara's POV I never thought my life would turn into this. I was technically the talk of the town and not in a good way. After that discussion with Rowan, he flaunted his freedom to the world. He was rich, handsome and the world knew him. So of course, news about his open relationship spread far and wide. The worst part? Girls flooded him like moths to a flame. I became the mocked wife, the invisible housewife who did nothing but sit at home and watch her husband live his life.On Monday he was seen with Carolina. On Tuesday, he was with Sarah. Wednesday, Charlotte. He had a different girl for every day of the week, and he never tried to hide. He was public with his freedom. Cameras caught him kissing different celebrities, holding hands with them, and even being in intimate positions with them. And I? I was the obedient wife. I was going insane but there was nothing I could do about it. Last night he had come home drunk and reeking of women's perfume. I had cried in the bathroom beca
Elara's POV “I want an open marriage.” It felt like time had slowed as his words echoed in my head. I had just woken up, my brain was still trying to process why I had married him in the first place and now I was hit with… this.“What?” I questioned groggily, wondering if I heard him wrong. “It's 6 am in the morning, Rowan. Today isn't April 1st, is it??” I asked, pushing the blanket off me.“You heard me, Elara. I have thought about it a lot and I've decided that I now want an open marriage.” He said like he was making an announcement and I stared at him in confusion.“We've been married for just six months, Rowan. I… I've given you everything I've ever had. I've done nothing but love you and be a good wife to you. Why would you suddenly want an open marriage? Does it even make sense? We're mates. What kind of mate wants a fucking open marriage? You know what cheating does to your partner’s wolf.” I asked in despair, and he simply leaned against the wall with his arms crossed over
