Chapter 44 

Kayla's POV

I knew I shouldn't have smacked him, but I was pissed off right now. How dare she kiss what is mine? I stormed outside; I wanted to go for a run. I decided to use my wolf form. This time it really didn't hurt that much. Once I was done shifting, I ran into the woods. It was amazing how it felt looking through my wolf eyes. Everything seemed different. I could see so many colors and smell the animals before I ran up to them. I jumped over a few logs, marked some of the trees. I was having so much fun. I even let Aurora hunt down a rabbit or two; she enjoyed the run as well. I found a small lake right in the middle of the land. I looked down into the water and noticed how silver my wolf was. I think I needed to shift into my lycan. If anyone saw me like this, they would probably try to kill me. So I shifted right into my Lycan. She roared and then sat down on a log. Her fingers went into the water, scooping up some water to drink. I looked down into the water and saw her beautiful eyes. She had black fur, and she was so beautiful. She got up, looking around. I knew someone was there, and I could smell him. It was our mate. He was in his lycan form. He was a little taller but very handsome. He was a pure black lycan with amber eyes. He reached out for Queen. I didn't want her to, but she reached out for him. It seemed she pushed me back so she could spend some time with his lycan.

"The name is King. Don't worry, I pushed him back so we could spend some time together. You're very beautiful, my mate. What's your name?" 

"The name is Queen. Tell your human that if he lets another female kiss him, I won't be blamed for what Kayla will do next time. I stopped her from killing that b***h, so consider her lucky to be alive right now. She's not sure about him. She feels that her grandfather is the king. He needs to give her some time." He nodded, holding her hand in his. He sat beside her on the log. As they talked to each other for a few hours, it seemed Queen and King had been around for many years. The moon goddess had put them in others. King has been in many kings before Lucas, and once Lucas was gone, he would be put in another. And for Queen, she has been put in many strong warriors. She has died and come back stronger.

"Damn, it seems my human needs to get back to the kingdom for his duties. I hope we can spend more time together, my queen." She chuckled as she looked into his amber eyes.

"Of course, if my human isn't being stubborn." They looked at each other, then he had to run off. There was something wrong; I could tell. I should be there. I don't know why, but I felt like I needed to be there. I ran off behind him, still in my lycan form. I was glad I stashed some clothes behind a tree. I shifted back to my human self, got dressed, and hurried back into the castle. He was now in his office, fully clothed. I walked inside; he looked up with a small smile on his face. He motioned for me to come over and stand beside him.

"Just place your hand on my shoulder; it will calm me if I get upset." Alright, I thought to myself. I have no idea why I was doing this, but hey, if that's all I had to do, just put my hand on his shoulder and stand here, it was fine by me. The door opened wider as four other guys I hadn't seen before walked inside. Three guards walked in behind them, standing behind them to ensure they didn't cause any trouble.

"So Barry, what can I do for you today besides trying to keep your daughter away from me?”

“You can try and keep your mate's hands off my daughter. She told me that she tossed her out of your office this morning. She came to me crying her eyes out. How dare you put your dirty hands on my child, young lady.” Oh, so he came in here after me. I took my hand away from his shoulder. Stepping forward, I looked into his eyes.

“If your nasty daughter would stay away from my mate, I wouldn't have to toss her out of here.” I heard the other two guys chuckle. I guess they knew her all too well. The guards just cleared their throats, trying not to laugh as well.

“How dare you talk to me, you stupid bitc….” Lucas got up, grabbing him by the throat, picking him off the floor. I watched as I noticed how strong he was. He was amazing.

“If I were you, I wouldn't finish that sentence. This woman is my mate. She might not like me much right now. But she is my mate, and I will not let you or anyone else talk down to her or cuss at her. Is that clear?” He tossed him on the floor, and he slid toward the wall, hitting it hard. I am warning you, Barry. Keep Angie away, or I will have Kayla do what she needs to do with her the next time she is around. Do I make myself clear?” Barry got off the floor, bowing to Lucas.

“I am truly sorry, my king. I did not know she was your mate. I will leave now. I will keep my daughter away from you. If she doesn't, I will punish her.” He turned to leave, looking at the two men walking beside him. He made sure no one was around when he said this.

“You get on your phones as soon as we get out of this castle. You call everyone you know and see what other accounts this son of a b**** has. Then you take every f****** dime, and he will be begging for help. The only way I will help is if he rejects that b**** and marries my daughter. Is that clear?” The two men nodded at Barry, and they went their separate ways. Blu asked Guss.

“Are we really going to do this s***? Do you realize we could get killed by doing that? It's going to be tracked back to us.”

“No, we're not. We are just going to tell him we made the calls. I'm not going to get killed for anyone. Once we tell him that it's in the works, we f****** leave this place because I have a feeling all h*** is about to break loose.”
