No More Love

"You don't love me and I don't love you anymore." I yelled in his face. "I can't take this anymore! Get the fuck away from me" I hissed! Looking around to see if anyone was watching, it would be embarrassing but, at least I'd have help if things got worse. There was no one in sight it was just a bunch of parked student cars with no one around. Great!

He pulled his hand up and for a second I thought he might hit me but instead he pulled a strand of my hair from my face and said "I'll never stop loving you. Don't fight it Kaylie." I cringed and tried pulling away but he held me there between his arms. This was going nowhere. I tried pleading with him again and saw my chance when he went to brush my cheek with the back of his fingers. I ducked under his arm and ran for my door as I hit the button. I managed to get into my car but just as I was closing the door he grabbed the edge of the door stopping me from closing it. I held my breath then blurted out to him "move your hand or I'll smash it" as I opened the door further readying to slam it. He had a look of resignation on his face as he pulled his hand back. I closed the door, started the car and took off home never looking back. He was my past and that's not where I'm going.

I got home in time to see my dad working on a project building a bench for my sisters new home reminding me she was moving to L.A. at the end of the week. I was surprised my phone wasn't going off with texts and calls from Trevor. Whatever the reason I was glad for some peace.

Most of the week went by in a whirlwind of school and spending time with my family. I had almost forgotten Trevor went to the same community college as I did because I hadn't seen him all week. That was until Friday afternoon as I walked down the hallway I saw him standing leaning against the wall watching me. He didn't say anything or try to stop me. Whew!

Just as I was about home the texts starting coming one after another. After pulling into my driveway looking at a few of the texts and seeing the content of begging, professing his love, anger and back to begging again I turned off my phone.

My sister was moving tomorrow and the thought of following her to L.A. started creeping into my mind. I was mentally making a plan.
