The Beginning

I woke up this morning like any other morning. My eyes squinting as the sunshine peered through my window. I stretch out and realize my arm is touching something or rather someone, feeling warm skin beneath my arm.

I jump as his hand grabs my arm!!!

I didn't remember much from last night but, I do remember falling into my empty bed still dressed from my night out.

I turn towards the person holding onto me as a scream is about to escape my mouth. My sister's room is next door and my parents are just down the hall. I'll have them running into my room if I scream now but, I already have an incling as to who holds my arm. I can hear his breathing, feel his calloused hand on my skin and smell his cheap cologne. Why is he here? My brain is still foggy from drinking and I wonder for a second if I called him here. No I didn't.

I snap my head to look into the crystal clear blue eyes narrowing in on me like he just caught me cheating! WTH?? "Trevor!" I exclaimed. "What are you doing here? If my parents catch you...!" He cuts me off! He always does that!

“Why didn't you answer your phone last night? Where did you go? What guy did you fuck around with?" Trevor says seething at me!

“I told you to stop calling me. I was out with my sister. She's leaving soon to move in with her fiancé. I won't be seeing her as often! We were at a bar hanging out and dancing together! We brushed off all the guys. You know I've never cheated!" I exclaimed quickly before he could cut me off.

Although I can see he doesn't believe me…he never does! It's the same thing every time I go out anywhere without him which is why I always bring him along.

This time I just wanted it to be my older sister, Katarina and I. We are only a few years apart but, she graduated college 2 years ago and is about to start a new life with her fiancé, Jason, while I'm only on my sophomore year of college because it's taken 3 years for 2 years of college. All because too many classes takes up too much of my time, taking time away from Trevor!

Ugh why do I keep letting him control my life?

Trevor yanks me down to the bed! Pretty forcefully I might add. He grabs my thighs and squeezes. Pleasure and pain course through me. "Kelsie you little slut! After Trevor climbed out the window. I held my breath until I could no longer see him walking away from the house. I took a deep breath as tears started to burn in the back of my eyes again. As I approached my car I could feel him behind me. I turned just as I was at the bumper of my car. Needing multiple escape routes if things became heated. I am home now with my feet up, my cat at my side and a glass of wine in my hand. My sister has gotten me to appreciate wine more these days. I look over the paperwork Hudson gave me. I am offered $25,000 for two months of work this summer and another $25,000 for two months of work next summer. Plus I'll still get the $25,000 scholarship. This seems too good to be true! The months went by quickly between work and school. I managed to get out to see my parents. They were excited for my new opportunity but wanted me to call when I got there. I found out after reading the whole contract that I'd be able to use the company phones to contact my family but was told all calls are recorded. They can not risk any information getting out about the ground breaking technology they have created. I spoke with Dr. Clark about what he knew. He assured me they are an upstanding company that values loyalty. I understand now. It's only a few weeks until I leave now. I'm getting excited for my paid internship. I am taken up to my apartment. It is massive compared to my apartment at home! I settle in for the night and wake up early. I go downstairs to get breakfast before I explore. I'm surprised to see so many people sitting in the restaurant. They must really employee a lot of people I think to myself. After breakfast I explore the shops and end up buying a casual sweater not realizing how chilly it can still be in the summer mornings and evenings. I only packed a couple light weight hoodies and jackets. The next day I take advantage of the amazing amenities at my new apartment complex that is more like a hotel than an apartment. I want to be rested and ready to start in the morning. Morning comes and I start my day by being driven to this expansive building in the back of this town. I'm introduced to so many people today.
