Being knocked off of his feet and thrown into the fiery pits of hell, is not what Andre Kim expected to happen this hockey season.
Show up, slay the ice, take home a championship, have recruiter eyes on him next year as he graduates... It's perfect. A seamless plan even, except it’s all up in flames when his eyes land on the most gorgeous man he’s ever seen in his life. Andre isn’t naive, he is well aware that there are countless beautiful people in the world. But ones that have black curls and big round glasses and … and is that a fucking belly button ring? Jesus. Andre chokes on a breath, trying not to get caught staring. He doesn’t know who that guyis but he wants to. He really really wants to. Like he’s already mapping out the quickest way to get off the ice when the game is over and find him but then a voice calls out, “Daniel’s, that your boyfriend over there? Why is he wearing Kim’s number instead of yours?” Huh? Andre follows Daniel’s curses and laughs over towards that same spot in the stands where he was just staring. Only to find that pretty little thing behind the glass, spinningaround and showing off his number with a cheeky little smile on his face. Of fucking course. Andre ’s co-captain Daniel, scoffs and laughs maniacally, explaining that the guy… “Dylan…lost a bet and clearly decided to be a brat–riling up his boyfriend by wearing another guys number.” But damn did he have to rile up Andre too? because now he has to sit in the locker room and hear the guys give Daniel shit about his nerdy boyfriend being a total fucking smoke show and Andre . just wants to die because damn Dylan walked right out of his dreams. Genuinely, seriously, if Andre looked inside his mind to visualize the type of person he could stare at everyday for the rest of his life and never get bored? It’s that . Him. All gorgeous and adorable and his eyes were like little galaxies sparkling through the glass. Oh and of course, he’s already someone else’s. As if he isn’t already having a miserable fucking day, when Andre gets home it’s to a completely flooded the dorm. Pipes burst in the ceiling and left his place a disaster. Thankfully he just crashes the night with Daniel. The next day when he’s reassigned and Andre moves dorms, he wasn’t expecting to find Dylan there. He figured it’d be another athlete. Considering they usually do their best to pair students accordingly. He guesses a last minute dorm change in the beginning of the semester doesn’t leave many options. But of all the options, did they have to pull the straw that’s going to fuck him over entirely. Andre was willing and prepared for whatever this new dorm trew at him. Except, for it being that gorgeous boy with those thick round glasses and his long hair tossed up in a messy ponytail behind his head. Dylan of all people. Hunched over his bed with notebooks and highlighters everywhere while the discovery channel is playing on the tv as background noise. How is this the same person with the little silver belly button ring that Andre hasn’t gotten out of his mind and washboard abs it decorates? Fucking , fuckk! When Dylan’s slow nuzzles turn into long hot presses of lips against his neck, is Andre supposed to be able to stop the shivers that spread across his entire body? How can he? The first two weeks they spent apart were horrible but after a week of having this perfect human in his arms, the three weeks without him, have been his own personal hell.Dylan’s teeth catch onto the skin just beneath the collar of Andre’s shirt. Sucking the tiniest little mark. Andre’s fine, he’s cool.Dylan brushes his index finger over the mark he left behind, low eyes and mouth slightly ajar. But it’s the quiet way he whispers ‘mine’ to himself, that has Andre kissing him instantly. He never stood a chance of keeping this kiss innocent when one of Dylan’s hands grasp onto the back of his neck. He’s trying to pull himself as close as possible and Andre just can’t let his baby struggle.Another day? He’ll be intrigued to test Dylan’s patience. Right now? Andre just wants to love him so bad. The hand tha
Despite his protests, Andre demands they take a walk just to get some air. They get dressed reluctantly and Dylan doesn’t let go of his hand for a single second. He tries not to let himself worry too much about whatever Andre witnessed in the room. This hotel has a beautiful outdoor walkway, lined with flowers and looking out onto a massive swimming pool.Water sounds and laughing kids they all help drowning out everything else. Andre stops them when they reach the entrance to a poolside booth–he’s not sure what they’re stopping for but Dylan’s eyes land on a frozen drink machine that has his name written all over it.But the last thing he’s going to do is ask Andre for more. Not when he’s already doing so much. So he stands patiently, chin over his boyfriend’s shoulder, eyes watching the families that play in the water. Gasping softly when a straw is pressed to his lips and when the sweet taste of frozen banana slushie hits his throat he almost moans. Thankfully he doesn’t, bu
Andre rolls onto his side, making it easier to tuck Dylan against himself entirely. Hand soft against the back of his head, “you’re okay, baby. It's just us in here. you and me.” he feels Dylan nod against him but it's not enough. Andre wants to make him feel better and he doesn’t fucking know how.All that he knows to do right now is keep holding him until Dylan feels comfortable to talk.Dylan is spiraling. It’s not that he wants to spiral, he doesn’t realize he’s spiraling. But sleeping took him right back into the kitchen, with his mother kicking chairs and tearing sweatshirts. The living room at fifteen, surrounded by study materials and not being allowed to have dinner until he knew everything. A car ride home from the baseball diamond at nine, his mother’s bitterness over him fumbling the ball several times still aches as much as it did back then waking up to that loud crashing sent his already fragile mind into a frenzy. He tried so hard not to cry.All he’s done is cry.
He can hear water coming from the bathroom and really, he shouldn’t be as surprised as he is when Andre grabs his hand and guides Dylan inside. Not a word is spoken the entire time as they get undressed, slipping into a tub that is probably double the size of the one back in Andre’s bedroom. But instead of his usual position behind Dylan’s back, Andre sits across from him.Tugging at his ankles until Dylan rests his legs in his boyfriend’s lap. “Do you have your phone? Or do they have it?”“I have them, but they’re both broken. I haven’t had them since Wednesday.”“I figured that much” Andre tries to smile but Dylan can see just how hard it is. As much as Dylan is absolutely loving the way Andre’s deft fingers work at his feet and calves. He just needs him.He needs him close more than anything. So he sits up and moves until he’s wedged himself between Andre’s legs. Settling back against his chest. “I imagined you showing up next week to find me homeless.”“I sure as hell hope you
Hyeri sobbed for an hour while we were packing at the last minute because she wanted to see you.” Andre presses one more kiss to his lips. Closing the trunk behind him as he smiles into it, "It’s your fault we all love you so damn much.”The car is silent, save for the soft music playing through the car speakers. The sun is just barely peaking up behind the clouds. Hyeri’s hand is tight on Dylan’s. She reached for it as soon as he got in the car and hasn’t let go since. Andre’s weight and warmth pressed up against him feels so much like he’s got his own personal forcefield. A safe little barrier of love that he can rest into and close his eyes and not think about anything else.He doesn’t know how long it takes them to get where they’re going. But when his eyes start to open, it’s to the smell of something really delicious and the sound of the car parking.Hyeri’s voice is soft, “Dylanie and Andreie are sleeping. What do we do?”“M’awake” he grumbles softly. Nudging at Andre who
Dylan faces David. The room feels like it’s spinning. He nearly falls over, “What?”“I’m not your biological father. I had suspicions. I’ve had them for a long time, but I confirmed it yesterday with our results..”“So that test… was a DNA test??” Dylan’s knees feel so weak. He genuinely doesn’t know how he is still standing, “What do you mean he’s—”“Oh, I already know your grandmother told you all about my broken heart. You guys enjoyed laughing about it.”Jiah walks into the room, “no one was laughing about your pain. I was trying to help my grandson understand why you’re hellbent on ruining this relationship of his.”“Wait…did you know since you got pregnant?” His head snaps towards Rena, “Did you know that dad isn’t my dad?” He looks at his grandmother, heart breaking, “and did you?!”The look on her face shows nothing but regret.“Wow. So I’m the only one who had no idea. My entire life I’ve been treated like a disgrace in this house. And that’s what it is? Because the guy who k
