Beatriz shrugged. "Nevermind."

I rolled my eyes and looked away. I closed my eyes again while massaging my annoyed hands.

"So let me guess, if Kyle is not your boyfriend, perhaps he is your best friend."

I looked at her with my wrinkled forehead. "Are you really that interested to know who the caller is in my life?"

"No. I just remembered him to Vance. You know Vance used to call me every midnight." She giggled. "Even those times when I was having a trip with my family or friends, he was always calling me from time to time. I just imagined Kyle treats you like how Vance treated me."

"Really, huh? What happened then?" I asked.

"What do you mean what happened? We just became busy in our lives, but we're making it up to each other now. I'm actually excited about what's ahead of us. We have plans you know. When we were younger, we planned so many things for ourselves and now we're going to start pursuing those plans. Isn't that exciting, Sofia?"
