My heart started thudding so fast as I watched his well-built back walk towards somewhere with his hands gripping mine.

"You're full of shit." I scoffed while he was heading somewhere. "What if they wake up and notice we're both not there?" I imagined my mom panicking. "They're gonna be worried. They're gonna look for us!"

"Chill." He laughed without looking back at me and just continued walking. "It will only take a minute or two then we'll come back safe and sound."

"What the fuck, Vance?" I gulped while my throat was getting drier. His hand on mine felt a little warmer than a while ago. It sent electricity to my entire nervous system.
