Chapter 009

Abigail's phone kept ringing non stop. When she finally checked her phone,she saw a lot of texts and missed calls from friends and colleagues.

As she was deciding which one to answer first, Mia's call came in. Abigail picked the call. “Hello Mia,” she greeted,her voice still heavy with sleep.

“Abigail,is it true?” Mia asked,really excited. “True that what?” Abigail raised a brow at the suspense. “You're dating Liam Frey?” Mia asked.

“Wait…what?” Abigail sat up immediately. “You don't have to hide it anymore. Your romantic dinner kiss is all over the internet.” Mia said,really excited.

Abigail frowned,it seemed paparazzi had followed Liam on his way last night. Ethan must've seen it too. She imagined he would be really pissed. Well she didn't care,she was going to break up with him when they next met.

She cut the call with Mia and decided to get productive for the day. After her bath she put on her clothes and a face mask. She couldn't handle the risk of someone recognizing her outside.

She'd checked the comments under the anonymous post. Some people wished them well while some called Abigail a bitch.

As she walked down the stairs,her phone rang. She picked without looking.

“Abigail,I know you're very upset right now. I had no idea someone took photos,I swear.” Liam's voice sounded.

“it’s you?” Abigail raised a brow as she stepped outside the house. 

“Abigail,listen to me. I'll take the video down if you want me to.” He begged. “Leave the video.” Abigail sighed. It'd be good if Ethan saw it,he might hate her and leave her alone. It was all for his own good.

“Wait…why?” Liam asked.

Abigail was about replying when a car roughly pulled beside her and dragged her in. She kicked and screamed,but it was no use.

“Abigail? Abby?” Liam kept calling,but Abigail's phone had been dropped on the ground. Liam quickly ran out of the room and grabbed his keys.

He drove over to Abigail's home,but she wasn't there. When he looked around,he discovered her phone had been dropped on the ground. It seemed she had been kidnapped,but he wondered who could've done it. Thinking back to Ethan,his jaw clenched.

He quickly dialed Ethan's number,it was Alex who picked it up. 

“Your father is busy right now…” 

“Give him the damn phone!”

Liam felt his blood boil.

Alex scurried over to Ethan on the bed. “It's your son.” He said before handing Ethan the phone. “What is it?” Ethan asked,one brow raised.

“How dare you do such a thing to Abigail?!” Liam shouted at his father.

“Excuse me?!” Ethan felt confused. Shouldn't he be the angry one?

“Are you going to pretend that you're not the one who kidnapped Abigail just now?!” Liam was angry and frustrated. 

“Is she missing?” Ethan tried to sit up,but he couldn't. Alex urged him to relax so his injuries could heal.

“Forget it.” Liam cut the call and raced to the nearest police station.

Did he just say Abigail was kidnapped? Ethan wondered. “Get the men ready. Abigail must be found tonight!” Ethan gave his orders.

“You should rest,alpha.” The doctor beside them spoke out. 

Ethan wanted to sit up,but he ended up stretching his already healing wound and made it bleed again. 

Liam was literally going crazy in Abigail's absence,he'd searched everywhere possible,but he just couldn't find her.

Abigail hissed as her eyes opened. Her mind recalled all that had happened. She looked  around,she was surrounded by old factory materials and a candy making machine.

“So,you're the one disrupting the order of the Frey pack?” Ariana walked into the light with a gun in her hand. 

“Ariana??” Abigail was shocked. She had known Ariana since she started dating Liam. She was so jealous of them and always wished that Abigail could die in some cruel way.

 “If I kill you now,no one will be affected. You'll just…be gone.” She laughed. “You stole Liam from me!” 

“I don't want Liam,you can have him if you want.” Abigail spat in disgust.

“If I want?” Ariana chuckled. “We've already begun the mating process.” She showed Abigail the marks on her neck.

“Good for you,” Abigail spat in disgust. 

“I will be the next Alpha's queen.” Ariana praised herself. She looked at the time on her watch,it was nine in the evening already.

“Why are you even doing this?” Abigail asked. 

“Do you really not know? Or you're just acting dumb?!” Ariana raised a brow. “Liam loves you!” 

Abigail blinked her eyes multiple times.

Liam…loved her?

While she was still thinking, Ariana had raised her gun. By the time Abigail realized,it was too late. There was a gun shot.
