Nikky’s POV

I got into my car and drove to a nearby hotel, where I ordered their most expensive vodka and sat at their bar.

When the bartender brought it, he shot me that look that nailed me to the cross of condemnation. I tore a more disastrous look at him, and he called back his senses.

“Enjoy your drink, ma’am,” he said, bowing slightly.

I poured from the bottle into my glass and drank it all at once. As the burn drove down my throat, it reminded me of the way Dane and I used to drink in his house, gist, and ended up fucking all night after we had both gotten drunk.

He had told me how I was the only one who completed him and made him happy… I thought Dane would be my last date; I thought he was going to be the date that led to marriage, but unfortunately, a schoolgirl took him away from me.

I took the glass and sipped heavily. My eyes had turned red and swollen, but I had always been strong. And I would definitely get over this after I must have treated the fucking ass of his so-c
