Freya’s POV

Excruciating pain.

That was the first thing I felt when I woke up. There was a harsh throbbing ache that wrapped around my entire body, making it hard to breathe.

I blinked against the bright, sterile lights above me, my vision swimming. The air smelled like antiseptic and something metallic—blood?

Where was I?

I turned my head slightly, and a wave of nausea rolled through me. My limbs felt heavy, my throat raw, like I had been screaming.

Then, the memories came rushing back—

I had accidentally killed Amelia.

But then, she was suddenly alive?

My breath caught in my throat.

Yes! She was alive.

I had seen her. Standing there, watching me with those cold, and calculating eyes as those strange men arrested me for murdering her.

My sister wasn’t dead and she had somehow framed me.

But why? Why would she have gone that far?

Was it just so that she could get Sebastian?

At that thought, the last memory of his face flashed through my mind and I could picture him clearly.

He had called me a murderer. Told me I deserved this. He called me heartless, wicked, stupid, useless and many more other names I didn’t even remember now.

He was clearly done with me so she didn’t need to go that far just to have him.

Unless…

Had they planned this together from the start?

Were they trying make me vanish completely?

I forced myself to sit up at that thought, but the moment I moved, something cold and heavy clanked against the bedframe.

I froze.

Chains.

Thick, iron chains were wrapped around my wrists, locking me to the bed.

What kind of police used animal restraints?

I tried to move again but sudden sharp pain bloomed in my lower abdomen.

I winced, pressing a hand against my stomach. Something felt wrong. Something felt really wrong with me and I wasn’t even sure what the problem was.

I was just about to move again when the door creaked open and a man in a white coat stepped inside with a stony expression. It was clear that he was some kind of doctor.

“You’re finally awake, good, I actually thought you were not going to survive the night.” he said.

I swallowed hard. “Where am I?”

The doctor didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he picked up a clipboard from the table beside me, flipping through the pages.

“Your body is in stable condition,” he said.

Relief flooded through me for half a second—

Then he spoke again.

“But the stress took a toll and wrecked havoc on your womb.”

I froze at his words but he just glanced at me with his expression carefully blank. “You lost the baby.”

Everything stopped.

The air left my lungs.

“W-- what?” I struggled to whisper.

The doctor set the clipboard down. “I’m sorry for your loss.”

No.

No, no, no.

He was lying. I couldn’t lose my baby.

I had just gotten the miracle child I had so desperately hoped for, and now he was saying they were gone?

I gasped and clutched my stomach.. and that was when I really felt it.

A sick emptiness.

I was empty in my womb and I was growing empty in my soul.

A broken, guttural sob ripped from my throat. “No! No, please, tell me you’re lying!” I begged but the doctor remained silent.

More hot Tears poured down my face, hot and endless.

My baby, My miracle child. Stolen from me before they even had a chance to live.

And I knew who was responsible.

Sebastian and fucking Amelia.

They had done this to me. They had ripped my baby from me.

A white-hot rage unlike anything I had ever felt before exploded inside me.

I would make them pay.

I would burn them both to the fucking ground.

With a shaking breath, I wiped my tears away and yanked against the chains.

“Please, I would like to see my lawyer now, I’m entitled to one,” I demanded.

The doctor didn’t even flinch. He simply gathered his things and walked toward the door.

“Wait!” I shouted. “I need to see a lawyer! Now!” I screamed but the door shut behind him.

Seconds later, a guard appeared outside the small window on the door. He was a large man with thick arms crossed over his chest and a cruel smirk on his face.

“A lawyer?” he mocked.

I glared at him. “Yes. I’m being illegally detained, and I demand—”

The guard burst into laughter. “You still think you’re in police custody?” he sneered.

My stomach dropped.

“What… what do you mean?” I whispered.

The guard leaned closer, his grin widening. “You’re not in a police station, sweetheart.”

Cold terror flooded my veins.

“Then where am I?”

He chuckled. “You’re in a sale house and you are about to be sold to the highest bidder.”

The words didn’t register at first.

Sale house?

And I was going to be Sold to the highest bidder? Like…  like in an auction?

Like… as a slave?

My pulse roared in my ears.

“You’re pranking me, stop it!,” I whispered.

“Am I? Let’s just wait and see who will buy you.” He tilted his head mockingly. “You’re an omega, after all. No one with any sense will want a filthy Omega.”

Omega.

He spat the word like an insult, but I couldn’t even understand or care about what he was saying. I just wanted out!

“Release me immediately.” I gritted my teeth. “You can’t do this.”

“It’s already done.”

My nails dug into my palms.

This wasn’t real.

This wasn’t happening.

I wasn’t a bloody omega or whatever. I wasn’t some property to be sold.

I was Freya Vaughn.

And I would destroy every single person who thought they could take away my freedom.

My baby was gone.

My life had been shattered.

But I was still here.

And I would make them all suffer.

Just as I opened my mouth to scream again, the guard straightened.

And a new presence filled the doorway before the guard rushed to open the door.

A man stepped inside.

He was Tall.

Broad-shouldered And unsettlingly familiar.

He had dark wavy hair, chiseled jaw and piercing golden eyes that seemed to see straight through me.

He had a striking resemblance to the first man who had taken me. But he was different.

He seemed even more Colder and more ruthless than the first one and it gave me chills.

He looked down at me, expression unreadable.

Then, in a voice filled with quiet authority, he said—

“This one is ours. I’ll take her.”

And with that, he yanked me to my feet.

The golden-eyed man barely reacted, his fingers tightening slightly around my wrist, a silent reminder that my strength was nothing compared to his. He was tall—too tall—and his presence was suffocating. The moment his strong hand touched my skin, a shiver of horror ran down my spine“Let go of me!” I hissed, twisting in his grasp as my feet scraped against the cold stone floor of the dimly lit auction houseBut he only chuckled, a deep, rich sound that made something inside me coil tight in warning. “You’re feisty. • Freya's Revenge Mates   What have I done?

Freya’s POV I couldn’t focus on anything else while I waited for him to return. Because there was no way the husband I had faithfully loved and given my everything to-- had just announced his engagement to my older sister like I didn’t exist. But maybe I should have seen this coming. After all, Sebastian has always been EXTREMELY private about our marriage. He always refused to take me to public events and always brushed off rumors when people speculated that he might be married. “It’s for your protection,” he’d always said. “I don’t want the media dragging you into my harsh business world.” Had all that been a lie? Had he been hiding me for years so he could announce his affair with my sister? I gripped my stomach as my knuckles turned white with fear. No. No, there had to be another explanation. Sebastian could not be that cruel—he wouldn’t just erase our marriage and embarrass me in front of the entire world. This had to be a publicity stunt or something else. Maybe th
