Excuses have consequences

"Yeah, I have a party tomorrow, I want you to come. My house."

Harmony did in fact not like parties. There were so many people, with loud music everywhere. It was just iffy for her to even think of going to one.

Or maybe you can blame it on movies like mean girls. She did start developing a phobia for parties after that one time in highschool that she got sprayed with a hose after trying to be normal and attending Bethel Madison's party.

Bethel wasn't a very nice girl, and Harmony learned that day that Bethel didn't really like her even though she and Bethel had practically never had an interaction before that night.

Anyway, Bethel showed her how much she didn't like Harmony with a hose that day. Everyone laughed and it was nothing but embarrassing.

Since then Harmony learned for losers like her she was better left at home watching trashy early 2000s horror movies. Not that she even liked parties anyways.

So the thought of attending Rhett's party didn't sit well with her. Of course all this thinking Harmony was doing was in her dorm, hours after saying yes to Rhett.

"Stupid! Why'd you say yes?! What were you thinking?!" Harmony smacked her head, and groaned.

She didn't need to wonder what she was thinking when she said yes to him. Simple. She wasn't thinking. How could she when Rhett was just staring at her with those dark eyes of his, daring her to look anywhere else but him?

She could accuse herself of being dramatic but there was just something about Rhett. In every sense he was built for dominance. Be it his figure larger than most, or just the aura he gave off.

'Big dick energy', for people like Rhett that was the energy they gave off. Major big dick energy. Even when they were asking something from you it was almost as if every part of him was daring you to say no.

And Harmony was too much of a little coward to say no. Besides how intimidating Rhett was, he was also insanely hot.

The combination was far too deadly! And Harmony was incredibly weak.

"I guess I have to take the coward's way out," She breathed out.

She would never be able to look at him, correction, look up at Rhett and tell him she wouldn't be able to attend his party.

No, she had already come to terms with the fact that she was too weak to say no to him.

She now had to take the coward's way out. Which was picking up a phone and telling him she wouldn't be able to attend his party.

"Yes, this is good," She smiled mischievously as she indeed picked up her phone.

She twiddled with her finger as the phone rang. She waited and waited but inevitably the phone stopped ringing and Rhett didn't answer.

Harmony dropped her phone and breathed out. "This is good I guess? Now I can say I tried calling him to tell him I wouldn't be able to attend but he didn't pick up."

Although Harmony had concluded this was a good thing, she couldn't help the little uncomfortable feeling in her stomach.

She sat quietly for a moment until her phone started ringing.

With haste she grabbed her phone, and she hated to admit the rush of relief she felt when she saw the name of the caller.

'Rhett.'

"Hello babygirl?" Came a rough and deep voice.

Harmony stiffened. Shame washing her as her thighs instinctively clenched.

Babygirl?

"H-Hello?" She hated the fact that she stuttered but she couldn't help it at the same time.

"Ah, fuck, Harmony?"

"Y-Yeah?" She stuttered once again. This time from hearing him cuss. She wasn't sure if the heat was making her react like this.

'Yeah, it's the heat, it has to be the heat.'

"Shit. I saved your number wrong. Didn't know it was you."

Something gnawed at her stomach upon hearing those words.

'He was addressing someone else?' Harmony swallowed. 'What the hell is wrong with you Harmony?! Of course he's talking to someone else?! Why are you bothered?!'

It should be obvious that someone as hot as Rhett would have girls flocking around him. She reminded herself she shouldn't be surprised that Rhett has a girlfriend, or maybe even two.

"Hello? Harmony? Did you hang up on me again"

She was pulled out of her trance at once.

"No! Sorry! I called because, I uhm, I wanted to tell you something."

"Alright…. Shoot."

Harmony's throat bobbed as she swallowed again. "I wanted to tell you that I wouldn't be able to come to the party."

It was quiet for a moment before Rhett finally spoke up, "Why?"

"Why?" Harmony played dumb.

"Where do you live?" He suddenly asked.

"I beg your pardon?"

"Where do you stay?" He repeated.

"W-why are you asking?"

"Because I'm coming over." He said, once again saying something so strange like it was an everyday thing.

Harmony's eyes widened and she jolted up from her bed. "What?! Why?!"

"You just told me I won't get to see you tomorrow, then I should see you today."

He said it as if it was supposed to magically explain everything, as if everything was supposed to make sense now but it didn't.

"No! You can't see me today! You can't come over to my dorm!"

"Dorm? You're staying at a dorm? Is it the one just around Paterson street?" He ignored everything else she said.

'Oh my God this can't be happening!' Harmony was panicking inside.

"Rhett, you can't come ove—"

"So it is the one just around Paterson Street?" He sounded as if he was beyond bored already while Harmony was having an existential crisis.

"N-No!" Damn, why did she stutter?! "Don't you dare come over-!"

The call ended right at her words. Her jaw dropped.

'There's no way he was being serious right?' Harmony was fidgeting badly. 'There's absolutely no way he is coming over—!'

*Knock*

*Knock*

Someone pounded against her door. Her eyes bulged and anxiety welled at her stomach.

'This can't be happening! He couldn't have gotten here so fast! He couldn't have been serious!'

*Knock*

Another rapped fist against her door made her spring up from the bed and head towards the door.

She took a moment to breathe out and try her best to calm her nerves before opening the door.

"Hey—" Her words died in her throat upon seeing who it was.

A female. A beautiful female with a briefcase at hand.

But that wasn't the surprising part. The surprising part was the smiling female was the girl being abducted just a few nights ago.

"Hi! I'm Allison, Allison Springer, your roommate."
