Is this....?

The winds ushered itself inside the house through the open window. The black crow on the willow tree close to the house pierced its black eyes into the house. It seemed to be earnestly watching something inside the house, its beak once in a while crowed at the scene in front of it

The moon outside was half full. It seemed to have descended closer to the earth, imposing greatly, winking at the green pastures below. It was a deep dark red while its other half hid inside a thick white fog that was the sky.

The breeze danced with the green leaves that made up the floor outside, teasing them as it howled towards the house, slowly but surely the cold breeze danced towards the house, it's teasing play was no more as it banged the open window to spread wider, it's sudden intrusion made the 2 feet tall metal whistle jingle and chime.

As the whistle aligned a gainst the beige wall jingled and chimed, a pair of round black eyes shot out from the clock on the shelf and darted towards the door, the eyes seemed like they were almost begging the black door for something.

Inside the bathroom of the chilly room was a bathtub filled with water, and inside the bathtub was a person.

Small bubbles floated from underneath the water and popped as they reached the top. Lying at the bottom of the water was a female. Auburn hair floating freely in the water, and skin turning pale from lying in the water for so long.

Her previously shut eyes propped open, the thick lashes fluttering in the water as she parted her lips, little bubbles making their way up the water.

With a soundless sigh, she rose from the water. The Auburn-haired girl raised, her hair plastered on her skin, and her skin turned a pale-bluish dewy color.

"How refreshing," She said, reaching for the towel.

With a towel on she exited the bathroom. With a towel on, she turned on her laptop.

Entering her MeTube filled with videos of a Korean boy band named Boys Who Cry, she couldn't help but giggle, prepared to start the nightlife of a fangirl.

"..... Watch your eyes full of dread as you go," She swayed herself, singing along with the boy group.

While she sang along with the song, her phone began to vibrate.

Casually lifting the phone and answering it, she spoke into the phone. "Hello?"

There was a moment of silence before the other side spoke. "Hello,"

She didn't know what made her pause at that moment, but she was well aware of who was on the other side of the phone from just hearing the voice.

Why?

The people in Harmony's life were significantly limited…. And there would only be just one person she had met with such a voice so unique she could grasp it from hearing a single word.

Deep, yet so smooth it left a velvety aftertaste on the ear.

She swallowed. 'Why did he call?' Harmony groaned. She did give him her number but she did not expect he would call.

She breathed, bringing the phone back against her ear. She cleared her throat. "H-Hello?"

The silence was daunting to her. Did she think too much and he had cut the call? She glanced at the phone's screen.

Still counting.

"Your voice sounds shaky." He said, a ruffling sound following his words.

Harmony felt like she needed something to wet her quick-drying throat. "Ah-Ah, I'm thirsty."

"You should drink some water. I was beginning to be worried you didn't want me to call, seeing as how you took so long to speak."

She felt the room heating up. Her heart was beating just having heard him speak. Her social anxiety didn't stop at associating but also continued with calls, and texts.

There was something about having to make a conversation on the phone that made her as anxious as meeting people did.

"Harmony?" She heard him say.

Panicked, she thoughtlessly cut the call and threw her phone to the bed. She went toward her table and poured a cup of water for herself.

Taking a sip, she still felt the room had overheated and quickly opened the window. The sudden appearance of a black bird flying past her window shocked her and she almost dropped her cup out the window.

She leaned out the window in a bid to prevent her cup from falling out.

Her chest dropped when the cup was assured in her grasp. "Dumb bird." She muttered angrily, watching the bird flying away.

Her angry face began morphing as her eyes followed the black bird flying above some people.

It was a girl and a man. It would be something normal unless the man was wearing a black mask, and the girl was following behind the man…..

Her movements were so robotic that Harmony thought she was being puppeteered.

Bile rolled down a certain pale delicate throat, and her bow-carved red lips which had become tinted a pale blue by the invading winds, quivered greatly whilst her small hands gripped the cup in her hand.

"This can't be….?"

'What I am thinking right?' She completed it in her mind.

The winds chilled, sighing softly, while a cold air reflected against the steel whistles.

Her eyes narrowed back to the phone on the bed, eyebrows pulled into a deep frown, skin pressed against her eyelids as she squinted seemingly having wheels turning in her head

The winds began slamming against her window harder than before, and the crow began to flutter its wings while crowing repeatedly at her.

Harmony sunk her teeth into the corner of her lips, as sweat managed to drip from her neck into her lower back even though the back of her towel had turned frosty over a few seconds.

The winds sighed against her golden mirror with curved and delicate designs at the edge of the color gold. The mirror's front reflected the chillness in the room which was still dropping faster and faster.

At the sound of the harsh wind hitting her window, she decided to grab the phone.

Dialing a number she spoke into the phone. "Hello, 991….."

In any case. It was better safe than sorry.

•••

Kilometers across from Harmony lay a silver-haired man on his bed. The silver locks scattered messily on his face as he was lying on his side.

The face Harmony determined as sharp and gentle was so cold it could freeze a room. Every angle and line that made up his symmetrical features was honed with spite and viciousness.

Unexpectedly his firm lips pulled up into the slightest of smirks as he looked down at his phone that read a disconnected call. His eyes, highlighted by the glaring lights from the outside infiltrating his dark room, made the reflections of ferocious and blood-coiling hunger brighten.

Suddenly the door was opened and a voice broke the haunting silence in the dark room. "Is everything okay King?"

Somehow the person saw his daunting, bone-chilling expression in the dark room.

His shoulders shook as a quiet laugh vibrated from his throat and echoed around the room. The ferociousness in his eyes was curling into something far more…. Menacing, something that promised a ruthless devour.

Sobering from his hair-raising laughter he said. "Everything could not be better Mikhail. She actually dared to cut the call on me…. It's so….. What's the word to describe this?"

"Who are you talking about?" The person asked.

"None of your concern." He replied, his formerly hauntingly amused tone changing into an ice-cold one.

"Uh…. Okay then, are we going hunting tonight?"

His pitch-black eyes which were mysteriously luminous in such darkness looked at the person. "Don't ask stupid questions."
