The Marriage Proposal

Author's POV

' Mom what are you saying ? How can I marry her ? Dad please try to understand . ' Siddharth was really awestruck with the decision his parents told him few minutes ago .Marrying a person whom he doesn't know . He is literally angry for the fact that his parents are making him marry a girl like a business deal . The bride's father is ready to sell her for some money .He can give him as much as he wants . But his parents are supporting it instead of complaining to police . And most importantly why this middle class man is blackmailing his parents. He saw this man two days back in their office and he felt suspicious seeing her father's scared face as if he saw some ghost. And now even after a long heated argument his parents aren't ready to change their decisions. 

And finally he couldn't take it anymore and said 'I am not marrying anyone .' and turned to leave the place .

' Fine then be ready to perform your mother's funeral . ' His whole body became numb . The person whom he loves to the moon and back is talking about her death .

' Love what are you saying ? ' said his father Arvind Singh Khurana to his wife .

' Mom what are you saying ? ' Radhika hugged her mom .

Her sweet mother who never yelled to them is talking like this . Siddharth was about to hug her she showed him her hand .

' I will marry her tomorrow . But only registry marriage nothing else . Good night . ' he said in a cold tone .

Her sister never heard his bother talking like this . He fisted his hand when he saw Mr. Mehra's smirk on his face .

Arunima sighed knowing that her Mumma's boy will sleep with empty stomach . The dinner was done silently . Though nobody wanted to eat but knowing Siddharth will not like that they didn't have their dinner and went to sleep .

Inside the the bedroom of Arvind and Arunima 

' I know I shouldn't do this I am sorry . ' Arunima pleaded to her husband who was crying and complaining like a kid while hugging her stomach .

'Yes Love you shouldn't say all those . He must be crying and Radhu also . '

' I know but it is needed . Once she comes to our house then she will be fine . We need to save both of them . I can't see him in that same darkness and I also can't see her in the hell . She is not in a good condition either . You saw na how he blackmailed us with her and law also if they are so concerned about her why didn't contact us in all these years. They kept her like mere rag in their house with no proper education.' Her every words were true . After Rajesh visited their office Arvind asked his men to find out informations about Advika and to their shock Advika was barely allowed to go out or enjoy her life. Also with no mental peace she was in complete distress only with school degree at the age of 21. 

'Still we need to tell him about her specially about her ....' Arvind said. 

'Not right now Arvind. He is doing good now, what's the need of bringing the past. Let him stay angry with us it's for his own good.' Arunima said. 

'What about her? Does she know about her uncles doings?' Arvind asked with guilt in his voice. 

'We already did wrong with her. It's time to mend our wrong doings. We will give the best life she deserves. ' Aruinma replied. 

*We did worst with her. Forgive us lord for failing humanity.* Arunima said in her mind closing her eyes.  

'Let's try to catch some sleep. We need to go to the registry office for their marraige.' Arvind said tucking Arunima on bed. 

But for the whole night they didn't get an ounce of sleep.

In Siddharth's room 

He left the place in anger not being able to tolerate what was going in the hallroom 

Siddharth almost broke everything in his room . He got injured in his hand . He wanted to set fire on earth . He can't see his mother crying . And she told him to kill herself today for some random girl .

But why?

He doesn't want to marry her. Still he has to, for his mother's sake. But will this marriage be meaningful to both of them?

"I will be your worst nightmare . Welcome to hell Advika Siddharth Singh Khurana." 

He gritted his teeth punching on the nearby all.

Advika saw herself in the mirror . She was wearing a simple yellow saree . Her aunt made her wear it. She doesn't know why they are so cruel with her . She always preferred to to stay in her room like a

trash . She was grateful to them to let her stay with them . They never abused her physically though they don't like her a little bit . But she is also thankful to them to let her study until class 12 . But everything changed last night when her uncle declared that she is going to get married .

' You must be joking right ? ' said Mrs. Tiyasa Mehra .

' No darling . I am not . ' said Mr. Rajesh Mehra .

Advika wanted to laugh at this statement but when he said ' She is going to get married to Siddharth Singh Khurana .'

She lost it ' Uncle I can't be his maid even . '

She knows about him . The prince of Khurana industries . Soon he will be the CEO of Khurana Industries . The business tycoon of India . A born billionaire and a famous photographer . She was about to laugh hard but stopped seeing her uncle's glare . Again they don't abuse her also doesn't love her . Well she is not even worth of abusing . Why ?

( wait to know the truth )

' He he will .. not marry.. me . ' She said softly .

' Exactly who will marry her ? ' said her aunt bitterly . She would have throw her if she wasn't the owner of whole Mehra's properties .

' The marriage will happen . ' again Rajesh declared .

' But I don't want to get married . I was going to join for online classes . You ...'

' Stop your bratty behaviour .You can do whatever you want to do there . But the marriage will be done. '

' Please uncle I will do anything but not this . '

' You will only do this nothing else . ' He went to his room without caring about the crying girl .

' Aunty .. aunty please tell him naa.. ' her voice cracked .

' Listen I don't want a trash like you here . I will be happy if you go out of my house . So I have no

problem . And continue your waterfall in your bedroom not here .

She felt helpless .

Why did you live me Ma , baba ? Was I that bad ?

She searched in g****e through phone and finally got the number of the office of Khurana Industries. It was number for Delhi branch . She quickly dialled and prayed for someone to pick it up .The receptionist pick up the call . After hearing her the receptionist cut the call on her face murmuring ' Useless people . '

Advika fisted her hand and said ' Rude , arrogant , illiterate . '

She then called the only person who can help her . It was her cousin , daughter of her uncle and aunt. Seeing Advika's call Shakshi immediately picked up ' Heyy Dii missing your Panda ? I know I know

after all who can stop thinking about me ? '

She laughed wholeheartedly . She was truly her sister . Totally opposite her parents . She lives in hostel for her studies . Though her college is in Delhi only but it takes her 2 hrs. to go to her college . So she stays in hostel .

' Yes Di is missing her Panda . ' Then she told her everything . She knows keeping secret from her is

impossible .

' What !!!!!!!!????????? Di how can dad do this to you ? '

' Shhh!! Dhire bol bhuddhu . Kal tu chalegi na mere saath . Tujhe pata hai na . Help me Panda please .' Advika replied in hushed tone. 

' Di stop this . I am coming tomorrow to talk with Mom and Dad . '

' No you have swear on me . Don't do stupid things . They will cancel the marriage after seeing me . And that will more humiliating . I don't want to be humiliated . The marriage time is after 12 pm and we will go out before 8 and reach there by 9 . So please please for di get up early in the morning .

Muahhhh!!!'

' Aye aye captain . Love you diii . Muahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! '

She felt little relaxed after talking with her . She feels bad not having her in the house . Again she is the only one for that .She tried to sleep but couldn't . So she got up and went to the window and look at the sky . There

were her parents . The brightest star among them .

Radhika rubbed sleepy eyes . She also cried after the incident . Her mother's death scared the hell out of her . She is also worried about her mother . A single tear from her mother and her brother will set the fire on the world . She knows very well why her brother agreed for the marriage . But she is also against this . Even the girl is unknown to her . Suddenly someone came and within 1 hour such a big decision was taken .

She took the water jug and started walking towards her room . Suddenly she heard someone's voice . She went towards the source of the voice .Someone was talking over phone with someone . But what she heard made her gasp loudly . The earth under her feet slipped down . The jug fell down and the person looked at her . Before she could react the person caught her hand .

' Mom.. mom she ... her... acci... ' she sniffled .

' Shh!! princess . Don't cry . Mom will make everything fine . Keep faith on us . ' she cooed her .

' But ... Bhaiii ... '

' No princess don' tell him now . I can't lose my son . Please I beg you . Promise me you won't tell him

anything . You have swear on me . '

' But .'

' You have swear on me princess .'

' Okk .. Mom.. I ... won't tell ... Bhaiii . But ... '

' He will know the truth but not now . '

' Dad .. does dad ...'

' Yes princess we all know . I was talking with your grandmas only . '

' Oo okk .. ' she was still afraid of the fact .

' Let's make you sleep . '

She took her to her room and made her drink water . She sang lullaby for her . When she felt her relaxed she got up and settled her on the bed properly . Putting the blanket on her she went to her son's room only to see the destruction he created . She cleared her tears which was falling down slowly . She thought only if that day she didn't let them go then everything would have been fine . But it was done already . She knew door will opened . She carefully went inside and found him sleeping on floor . She wasn't strong to pick her up . Her husband already left to bring their mothers to home for tomorrow . Their parents are best friends and they can make Sid cheerful and Advika comfortable. Right now Advika is her first priority . She put the blanket on him and caressed his hair .

' I know I was wrong . But trust me I will make everything fine . You will never have that nightmare again . Mama's promise . ' She kissed his forehead and went to her room .

A new day is waiting for all .
