They did speed up. I was surprised at first and someone almost got my headband but I bend forward which made me tightened my grip on Kyros's shoulder.
I was pissed off when the other girl tried to slap my face just to get my headband. I felt the competitiveness rushing in me that made me go all out.
“How do you feel?” I looked up to Jade after she asked me as I took my seat in the classroom. Everyone was looking at me with worried eyes. Even though I could not answer, Jade patted my head, trying to comfort me. Despite the fear and anxiety, I felt after opening that pink box yesterday, I feel awfully good today. Would it be surprising for them to see me doing better than all the other days? “I’m fine.” Being with Kyros must have had a good effect on me. “As expected, I shall praise your courage and strength, Lily of the valley.” Jade was immediately pulled away by Alexis after she said that. “I’m sorry... for her.” I didn’t understand why he had to apologize. It actually feels good to be praised for being courageous about something traumatizing. It wasn’t offensive to me, at all. Our morning class started, all my classmates were busy trying to please me and all, but there was something weird. I looked at Kyros, he was laughing with Dusty and the others.
Kyros placed both his hands on my shoulders. “Look at me.” He said. His tone was gentle; it was the first time I saw him acting like this. It wasn’t his usual puppy act. “I’m here.” When I looked at him, I felt my heart skip a beat. ‘This isn’t the time for this.’ I thought as I took a deep breath. “I-I know.” I gasped, trying to calm myself again. “Have you guys read the letter?” He shook his head. “We left the box in the classroom. Taurus and the others are investigating the situation.” I felt his warm hand on my cheek. “We’re keeping it a secret just in case you might hate people knowing about it.” The way his eyes looked at me… was different. “Also, I’m sorry.” He’s still staring at me with his genuine and sincere eyes. “I should stop fighting with Kyril, Lili hates it, I know.” He said as his other hand squeezed mine. The atmosphere wasn’t even for that kind of thing, but as he speaks every word, it felt like it’s been forever since we last talked face to face like this. “I’
I got up from the bed and immediately opened the curtain to see who was talking to me, but there was no one there. ‘Am I hearing things now?’ I shook my head as I lay on the bed again. “This is getting more and more annoying.” I cursed at the wind and closed my eyes. “Lili? Are you there?” I opened my eyes after hearing Mavis’s voice. Why is she here in the infirmary? “Uhm, I actually heard what happened in your classroom today.” She said as I saw her sitting on the chair in front of the bed. I could only see her silhouette since the curtain’s covering the bed. “I know what Kyros did probably pissed you off,” Mavis said. “But he’s only being like that because he likes you so much.” I opened the curtain and saw Mavis. Her hair was in a mess and it looked like she rushed here. “Did Kyros tell you to say that?” “Of course not!” She sighed. “I can’t bear seeing you two break down just because of Kyros’s social anxiety and how he sucks when it comes to interacting with people.” My
“That’s right.” Hearing that causes me to feel this weird annoying feeling inside my guts. “Lily was— No. I don’t want to say it. I shouldn’t be the one saying it.” Kyril said after almost telling it to me. Why though? Why can’t he just tell me who Lily is? “Why? You can say how you met her.” Kyril must have noticed that I’m really curious about this girl named Lily. “Fine. Lily was a sick girl that I met in the hospital where Kyrara was staying before.” He said. “She wasn’t able to go out because of her fragile body. Although I was irritated with her at first, we became good friends. But Kyros came and snatched her away from me just like how he did to everybody else.” Snatched? “Was she yours?”“I mean… I didn’t mean it like that.” Kyril said. “What I meant is that I was her friend first, but Kyros came and snatched her away.”Does it mean Lily chose Kyros over Kyril? “Did you want her all for yourself?” Kyril nodded. “Let me guess, Kyros wanted to become her friend too that’s wh
“I thought you wanted to get along with Tiffany?” I was dumbfounded after I heard Kyros ask that before I could leave. “What? You saw how she— Do you like her now?” I was pissed. I’m the victim yet it feels like I’m being blamed. “Wait, why do you even like me?” After I asked that, Kyros couldn’t answer. I don’t know if he chose not to answer or if he just doesn’t have an answer, but either way, I’m not sure about his feelings anymore. “Leave me alone.” I walked away and didn’t bother listening to whatever he wanted to say— if he will say anything else, but he stood there in silence. “Do you want to meet Silver?” My forehead creased after Kyril greeted me with that. Did he hear my conversation with Kyros? But wait, who’s Silver? I wasn’t even answering yet, but Kyril already pulled me into his car and drove me to their house. When he said silver, he was talking about the white cat that he adopted. I can’t remember the name I gave it, but it wasn’t Silver. “Oh? Did you think I ch
I didn't expect Taurus to be willing to help me with my plan. "Thank you for accompanying me." Taurus patted my head which caught me off guard. "I know it's already hard being Kyros's favorite. It's going to be okay." He said as he bid me goodbye and walked away. That was rare, but I didn't hate it. Instead, it was really great to let these things out sometimes. Miss Kyrary wasn't home, and only Ethan was there. He asked me about the school, but he didn't dig deeper as to why I was already home when it was still not time for dismissal. I went to my room and slammed my body on the bed. "That was tiring." The ceiling makes me feel drowsy, and now I don't know if I should take a bath before going to sleep. "No." I got up and looked at myself. I'm still wearing my uniform, and some blood that came from my arm stained my uniform. I should just wash this before it stays there forever. As I said, I went to the laundry room and washed my uniform after changing into casual clothes. It'd
