“It feels so surreal, coming back here.” I hushed as the chauffeur drove us into the City of Marr. I glanced at Green who was already sleeping on my shoulder, her left palm holding my right tightly. I smiled and then heaved a sigh of relief. Ever since the news of Henry waging war against the Clan she wouldn’t stop worrying. I was at least happy she finally got to sleep peacefully. I wonder how she would react once she knows of the message I received from my grandfather.

“We’ve arrived.” The chauffeur gently uttered and I heaved another sigh before tapping Green.

“We’re home.” I quoted and she briskly alighted from the vehicle. As I alighted, the cold air of Marr greeted me gently, the fresh scent of the garden, the tweets of birds on their trees, they all gave me a sense of nostalgia that I didn’t know when my mate came to my side.
