MasukScarlet stood by the side, watching as her family cried over her corpse. She stared at her body, which was about to be cremated, and her heart clenched.
She had been dead for two weeks, and in those two weeks, she had been forced to watch her family cry daily over her, her best friend breaking down every time she saw anything related to her, and even the people she rarely communicated with were all shedding tears when they heard about her death.
She had been feeling conflicted ever since then. Her mind wouldn't stop imagining scenarios of change. What if she hadn't died? What if she had fought with her parents when it all happened, if she had run away from home, if she had tried to be stronger... What if, what if, countless what ifs had been running through her mind, but it only annoyed her even more.
She hated to see her family cry over her. She hated the fact that she was the source of their sorrow when everything she ever wanted was to put a smile on their faces despite everything she'd gone through. She felt saddened when she watched her father faint and was unable to stop crying when he heard about her death...
This was the family she hated so much but loved just as much.
The same family that ruined her___, yet she loved so much.
"Hey, Scarlet!"
A round, fluffy creature nudged Scarlet, scaring her out of her thoughts. "Are you okay?" The creature asked.
Scarlet lowered her eyes to see the fluffy creature talking to her, and for a moment, she thought she was hallucinating. She stretched forth her hand and gently touched the creature only to rush back in fear. "What, what are you?" She stuttered, her eyes wide open.
The fluffy ball stared at Scarlet and rolled its eyes. "You look like you've just seen a ghost when you're a ghost yourself." It hissed. "Call me Fate Ball. I'm here for you." Fate Ball introduced itself.
Scarlet stared at the fluffy ball for a very long time without saying a word. Surprisingly, her mind was calm, and her earlier fear was nowhere to be found, but she just couldn't find a reason to converse with a strange creature. She returned to stand beside her younger brother, who had red eyes from crying, totally ignoring the fluffy ball.
Fate Ball rolled toward her in the air and watched with her, not saying a word for a moment. "Scarlet,'" it called.
Scarlet turned her head to look at it, not saying anything, but it was obvious she was listening. "Do you want to see something?" It asked.
Scarlet returned her gaze to her body, her arms wrapped around her chest as she ignored the Fate Ball.
"There's something you would like to see. It's my gift to you." Said the Fate Ball.
Scarlet ignored it.
"Really? Then, come see." It got excited.
Scarlet's heart skipped a beat, and she finally turned to look at the rolling ball again. "I'm not..." But she wasn't able to finish her sentence when she was pulled into a void.
Opening her eyes again, Scarlet realized her environment had changed. She looked around, perceiving the dusty smell of the new place while taking in the desolate aura that surrounded the place...
"Scarlet!" Fluffy ball shouted.
Scarlet calmly looked around, inwardly wondering why Fateball had brought her to this sort of place, but her wandering eyes soon fell on a figure at the center of the abandoned-like room. "Isn't that Carlos?" She asked with disbelief.
Fateball rolled over to the figure's side and nudged him, but the person remained sitting without batting an eye. "That's him." It replied.
Scarlet frowned, shaking her head. "He used to be very happy..." She trailed off.
She used to be envious of him. She used to wonder how someone could smile so much, laugh so much, and radiate so much joy. So why?
"What happened to him?" She couldn't help but ask the only 'person' that could hear her at the moment. "Why is he so haggard? Why, why does he look so lifeless? Why... what's that thing he's holding?" She had a bad feeling in her heart.
Fateball stared at Carlos, who had pills clenched in one hand, water in the other as his soulless eyes looked into space. He seemed to be deep in thought, but he also looked like he was barely holding on. Fateball sighed heavily. "He's like this because of you." It suddenly said.
Scarlet's brows twitched. "What do you mean?"
"He became like this after Silvesta, your best friend gave him your diary after your death. He felt bitter that he couldn't be there for you when you needed someone the most."
"Why..." Scarlet was perplexed. Why would someone do so much for her? Her parents didn't even break this much because of her death...
"Why?" Fateball seemed to have heard a crude joke. "He's in love!" It shouted. "It was love at first sight for him."
Scarlet slumped on the ground, the word 'love' triggering something within her. She gripped her collar so tight she felt choked and she let out a scream. "Why? I wasn't worth it. He shouldn't have gone this far for me..." She shook her head. "No one ever loved me. My parents never did. My siblings never did... none of my friends ever saw me as someone significant. I don't even know him... He wasn't anyone important to me. So why?!" She screamed with a mixture of anger, hatred, and sadness.
She lowered her eyes, unable to keep looking at the shining figure that used to brighten her world. This was her idol, the only person she ever looked up to in her life. She was a little fan of his. A smile from him could keep her going for days--- So, how did it turn out this way?
"You can help him." Fateball's crispy voice resounded in Scarlet's ears. "Do you want to?" It asked.
Scarlet raised her head. Her red eyes mirror the fluffy ball rolling around her, and she nods her head. "I will do anything to save him." This was her responsibility.
Fateball nodded. "Then, come with me." It rolled on Scarlet's head, and the next moment, she felt like the world was spinning.
DING!
"Welcome to the first mission world!"
"Wait--- What?!"
Scarlet felt like she'd heard wrong. Her heart raced violently, and she paled. This alpha knew one of her sisters? If that was the case, didn't that mean she still fell into their trap?Even when she tried so hard to escape. She still couldn't make an escape? Why?Why would things not change?Scarlet felt scared. Not because of anything, but because she didn't want to make the same mistake the original owner made. She knew how terrible it was for someone to fail. She'd failed so many times in her life that it had become traumatic to her. Even when she tried her best, she still failed...But she really hoped things were different in these fictional worlds. She really didn't want to fail. Especially when it came to giving herself to a man...She closed her eyes, suppressing the pain she felt from down there and her heart. The alpha kept slamming into her like he wouldn't stop until he penetrated her womb. His action was fierce, and the pain mixed with pleasure brought tears to
The alpha's body trembled as his cold gaze settled on Scarlet. His eyes wandered to the space between Scarlet's boobs and his eyes darkened. "What are you doing?" His voice was deep and dark. Scarlet chuckled. With the slight change in the alpha's eyes, Scarlet could tell that he wasn't someone who could be easily manipulated. He wouldn't fall for coyness, so if she wanted to capture him, the only way was to... dominate him. Scarlet propped herself up from the bed and wrapped her arms around the alpha's neck, her breath hitting the man's face. "I want you. I want you to help me." She whispered, staring straight into the alpha's eyes. Her body grew hotter. Being in close proximity to such a familiar face wasn't helping the situation at all. Scarlet arched her chest, pressing her twins closer to the alpha. "Touch me. I feel too hot." She murmured as she licked the alpha's lower lip. The alpha's body tensed up. His eyes grew darker, and his hands clenched into a fist. Scarl
Scarlet swallowed and took a step back. "Cyn?" She called, unable to believe her eyes. How could Cyn also be in the werewolf world?Didn't they separate in the last world and should have never seen each other again? The man before her had exactly the same appearance as Cyn, and even their body scent was the same. What was going on?"Don't tell me Cyn followed me over?" Scarlet asked with disbelief in her voice. The man chuckled. He tilted his head as he looked at Scarlet with a hint of interest in his eyes. "What are you mumbling about?""Do I look that scary?"Scarlet's heart skipped a beat, and she tried to step backward, but her legs suddenly gave in. She screamed as she fell backward. The man moved at the speed of light and grabbed Scarlet's waist, steadying her against his chest. Scarlet's eyes locked with the man's, and she felt her heart being stirred. It was as if there was something in the man's eyes that pulled her in and rendered her unable to look away. His eyes
Scarlet stood up from the bed and looked at the man in bed. Her expression turned frosty. Judging from the original owner's memories, the man in bed was a gambler her third sister sent to ruin the original owner after being drugged on her 19th birthday banquet. After the original owner slept with him, he blackmailed her into marrying him, but on the wedding day, the original owner was accused of cheating with another man. This unconscious scum beat the original owner up in front of everyone and humiliated her thoroughly. He was the beginning of her nightmare. Scarlet's eyes flashed with deadliness. Counting what she hated the most in this world, rapists were one of them. But not only did the man force himself on the original host, but he also threatened her with the fact that he did. Scarlet's body trembled as her eyes slowly darkened. She had sworn to herself___ She was weak back then and couldn't do anything to those bastards. But it was different now. She was no longer t
Scarlet stayed in the world for seventy years. During these years, she lived a lazy life aside from giving birth to three children. A boy and two girls. Klaus died a few years after Scarlet's marriage due to a heart attack. Lyn lived for a long time and was later rescued from the gangsters by her father, who eventually lost his life during the rescue. Lyn lived in seclusion for a long time before she died alone. Scarlet lived happily with her loved ones. After seventy years, Cyn had grown into an old man with grey hair and a wrinkled face. But his body still remained as fit... though not like when he was younger but it was still fit. Scarlet and Cyn lay in bed, hugging each other with smiles on their faces. "Wife, I love you," Cyn mumbled. His hazy eyes looked at Scarlet with curiosity. Scarlet smiled in return and planted a kiss on Cyn's forehead before she closed her eyes. "Goodbye, Cyn." She mumbled as she left the world. Cyn looked at his wife's stiff body, and a
Scarlet had no idea how she slept last night, but she woke up with her hands on her belly. She looked around the room, searching for Cyn, but he was nowhere to be found, and her heart thumped. She sat up in bed and tried to climb down to look for Cyn. However, fateball suddenly appeared beside her, flapping its small wings. "Scarlet, Scarlet." It shouted, golden bubbles flowing out of its round mouth. Scarlet dodged to the side, avoiding the strange golden bubbles, and a disgusted expression was shown on her face. "Why are you screaming so early in the morning?" She asked. Fateball grinned and let out even more bubbles, which she intentionally made hit Scarlet's face. "Klaus... He's ruined." It was announced happily. Scarlet, who was still about to insult Fateball, had her words swallowed as she looked with bewilderment in her eyes. "What happened to him?" "He drank too much last night and got hit by a car. Do you want to watch it? I made a video of it." It had fol
