LOGINScarlet's eyes dimmed, fear palpable in her black orbs. "I don't want to..." Her words trailed off.
She didn't really want to be pregnant. She wasn't up to the task... especially when the father was so irresponsible.
Scarlet knew she would have to surrender a lot for the mission, but she wasn't ready. She wasn't ready to waste a life... again.
Fateball appeared beside Scarlet. It stared at her gloomy eyes and suddenly felt bad for her.
It wasn't silly. It had gone through Scarlet's life before it attached itself to her and knew how deep Scarlet's trauma was.
It also knew about that particular moment when Scarlet lost her child___
"You are not pregnant." It said in a solemn voice. "This is the beginning of the timeline, and tonight is your birthday."
Scarlet's eyes widened. "Really?"
"Yes," Fateball revealed, a slight smile forming.
"You just turned 18 today."
Scarlet's gloomy face finally morphed into a pleased smile, and she rubbed her stomach carefully. "Thank goodness. I have to make sure I did not celebrate the birthday like the original host did. That way, that slag won't ask me out today, and there won't be sex either."
Fateball's lips curled up, "You have to celebrate this birthday." Her tone was filled with mystery.
Scarlet's smile froze. "Why?" She asked through gritted teeth.
Fateball appeared beside her. Its small arms held it round waist. "You can't act out of control [OOC], that will cause a penalty, and when that happens, you will be forcefully thrown out of this world." It explained.
"Not only do you have to celebrate the birthday the same way the original host did, but you have to accept the slag's proposal. After that, you need to have sex with him. Everything must happen like it did. All you have to do is make the slags pay for hurting the original host and then seduce Cyn."
Scarlet's expression turned uglier. She bit her tongue to stop herself from cursing, but she couldn't stop her eyes from rolling angrily. "Indeed. Nothing good ever comes out of quick transmigration."
She returned to stand before the mirror, fingers clenched around the glasses on her face. "I need to have sex with that trash... I'd rather die then." She clicked her tongue and removed the glasses.
She dropped the glass on the faucet and then raised her head to the mirror. Staring back at her was still a small face, obscured by messy strands of hair. "You said the host is beautiful." She mumbled as she washed her hands while still staring at her reflection. "Let's see how she looks."
Scarlet splashed water on her face and brushed up the messy fangs, exposing the full face of the original host. The face in the mirror could be described as anything but average___ Large cat eyes, long, thick eyelashes, long nose, and small face...
"The original host is indeed... beautiful," Scarlet mumbled dazedly, her fingers trailing the flawless face.
Fateball scoffed. "You've mentioned 'indeed' twice already. Annoying face-con!"
Oblivious to Fateball's anger, Scarlet continued admiring the face. Her lips parting and closing, as she checked every angle of the face, trying to see if there was any flaw that could affect her... seduction.
The sound of footsteps snapped Scarlet back to her senses, and she quickly dropped her messy bangs. As much as she didn't want to spend any more minutes looking ugly, she also knew she shouldn't be in too much haste, either.
She quickly put on her glasses, washed her hands again, and left the bathroom. She met a female student standing before the bathroom door, with a book in hand.
"Hi!" Scarlet nonchalantly greeted and made to leave.
The student smiled at her. "Hello, Scarlet. Can I invite my friend from 𝘉𝘙𝘐𝘓𝘓𝘐𝘈𝘕𝘛 𝘏𝘐𝘎𝘏 to your birthday today?" The girl asked meekly.
Scarlet raised a brow and waved her hand dismissively. "Bring as many people as you want." She said and walked away.
Fateball appeared beside Scarlet and hit her shoulder lightly. "She's inviting someone. Don't you think it might be someone you don't want to see?"
Scarlet's lips twitched. "Do I have anyone I want to see in this world?"
Fateball's momentum flopped, and it silently turned to mist, leaving behind a pitiful "Right."
Cyn...
Scarlet called silently.
There was indeed someone she wanted to see in this world. That person named Cyn.
Scarlet wondered. Who could the person be? Carlos of this world? If it were, then she would do everything to make him happy___ to repay his unrequited love.
She returned to her class, and just as before, Klaus and Lyn were still discussing fervently. Lyn was asking Klaus about class questions while Klaus, acting like a genius, was solving everything for her.
Scarlet rolled her eyes at them. From what she learned from Fateball, the original host was only average, but Scarlet wasn't... Amidst the darkness of her life, one of the things that kept her going was studying.
She was a study guru.
The day went by without much activity___ more like Scarlet wasn't interested in doing anything.
No matter how much Fateball advised her to talk to Klaus, she just wasn't ready to.
She stepped out of the class, and instead of going home, she decided to visit a saloon instead.
"Let's prepare for my birthday, party." She smirked and hopped off, missing Klaus, who was about to hold her arm.
Scarlet stepped out of the cab with furrowed brows. She brought out her phone, which had been ringing endlessly since she entered the cab, and seeing the caller, her eyes dimmed.
"Her mum..." She mumbled, heart clenched. 'Fateball, tell me, does the original host have a happy family?"
"Yes," Fateball replied.
Scarlet's eyes darkened, and she sneered. "Yeah, right. They are so good that they watched their daughter suffer injustice without lending a helping hand.".
"That's not the case... They are the ones celebrating her birthday today." Fateball sounded agitated. Like she was trying to prove something.
Scarlet shook her head. "Whatever. I don't care about... ah!" She stepped on a stone and slipped. Her eyes widened, and her chest tightened. She opened her mouth and screamed, unable to think of anything else___
However, what she felt next was a pair of strong arms gripping hold of her tiny waist and holding her in place against a solid chest. Her eyes settled on her savior's face, and Scarlet, a hopeless face-con, found herself drooling at the looks.
"It's Cyn!" Fateball squeaked excitedly.
'Huh? Cyn?"
Scarlet shook her head, forcing back her tears and also forcing out a smile at the king. "It's okay, Dad. I'm not exactly angry.""That's good. My daughter isn't angry at me." The king smiled happily. "Dad will compensate you when the meeting is over, okay?" Her mood brightened. Having a father's love was everything she ever asked for... But beneath everything, Scarlet had to remind herself that it was fake. Her true father wouldn't care this way. The mission also had to continue. Scarlet nodded. "Dad, did something happen to any of my sisters?" She feigned ignorance. The king's smile died down, and he sighed heavily. "Yes, daughter. Your third sister disgraced the royal family." He clenched his fist. "He dared sleep with a man without proper marriage and even dared to deny it to the world." Scarlet silently listened. "If she had truly admitted it when she was caught, then we could have made use of that to lessen the humiliation she brought on herself, but she dared deny it.
Scarlet watched Lucien leave the room, and after resting for a while longer, she also left. She needed to return to the palace to meet her parents. Scarlet was certain about one thing, even though she wouldn't say she knew all the original host's desires, she knew the original host missed her parents dearly. Although Scarlet grew up without the love of her parents, always ignored and treated as if she didn't matter, she knew that most children in the world loved their parents. To fulfill the original host's wish, she wanted to see her parents and, at the same time, experience once again what familiar love felt like. Scarlet stopped a cab by the roadside, gave the man the address, and closed her eyes as she continued her thoughts. She missed the parents she had in the last world. No, she had been missing them for years, even in that world. The father died when Scarlet was only 40, and the mother died when she was 45. Though the presence of her brothers made her enjoy familial l
The door opened, revealing the alpha who had a large grin on his face. The moment his eyes settled on Scarlet, who was resting on the bed, the grin on his face grew bigger. "I've done what you asked." He dipped his hands into his pockets and stared at Scarlet with expectations in his eyes. Scarlet's creased brows slowly relaxed as she pushed back all raging thoughts. She smiled softly, and her lips parted, ready to praise the alpha. Perhaps the alpha needed some praise? But before she could say anything, she saw the alpha approaching the bed and standing too close to her. "What else do you need me to do?" "I've made you this way and can only compensate by dealing with your enemies for you." He shrugged, and his lips pressed into a thin line. "Don't feel burdened." Scarlet's lips twitched. She tried her best to control the hiss that was about to escape her lips. "Something else?"
Scarlet found herself dozing off as her mind wandered about whether the alpha had succeeded. Not like she doubted the alpha anyway. With his love for chaos, he would certainly ensure things worked out. Scarlet would never doubt that. But time was passing too slowly, and she was feeling too exhausted. Her body was sore from the activities, and her vision was becoming a bit blurry. She tried to keep her eyes on the door. She wouldn't be pleased if she ended up sleeping without receiving a positive report. Fortunately, the alpha didn't waste much time either. Scarlet soon heard voices outside the door and hurried to the sounds of footsteps. Her face immediately brightened. The sleep cleared away somewhat, and she struggled to sit in bed. She waited impatiently. The deed had been done, and the alpha should be back soon. Scarlet regretted working too hard earlier. She should have been able to see the drama with her eyes. "Wait, have you forgotten about me?" Fateball suddenly asked
Just as Scarlet was about to think of what to reply to the alpha, the sound of footsteps and noises sounded from the door, and her brows creased. She couldn't hear what was being said clearly due to the room's soundproofing, but judging by the numerous voices, she knew it was her third sister and the reporters making their way to the room she had left earlier. Her lips curled, showing a sinister smile as she looked toward the door. What could she do?Her third sister had prepared so many gifts for her. Would she have to waste it just like that? No, she had no such time. Scarlet returned her attention to the alpha, whose expression was unreadable as he stared at the blood in the bed. He seemed not to have expected Scarlet to be a virgin still. But that didn't matter to Scarlet. How many times...She shook her head, dispersing the sad memories that were about to creep into her mind. "Alpha..." She paused, and a slight frown formed on her face. She suddenly realized she had no ide
Scarlet felt like she'd heard wrong. Her heart raced violently, and she paled. This alpha knew one of her sisters? If that was the case, didn't that mean she still fell into their trap?Even when she tried so hard to escape. She still couldn't make an escape? Why?Why would things not change?Scarlet felt scared. Not because of anything, but because she didn't want to make the same mistake the original owner made. She knew how terrible it was for someone to fail. She'd failed so many times in her life that it had become traumatic to her. Even when she tried her best, she still failed...But she really hoped things were different in these fictional worlds. She really didn't want to fail. Especially when it came to giving herself to a man...She closed her eyes, suppressing the pain she felt from down there and her heart. The alpha kept slamming into her like he wouldn't stop until he penetrated her womb. His action was fierce, and the pain mixed with pleasure brought tears to
Klaus was surprised. Scarlet had never rejected him before. Everyone in school knew how Scarlet ran after him, wagging her imaginary tail like a dog and answering to every call of his. The reason he noticed Scarlet in the first place was her obsession with him. She did it so much that she made th
Scarlet's word attracted the attention of the whole class. They looked at each other in dismay. Every one of them wondered what was going on. They had followed Klaus' eyes earlier and knew the person he was staring at was Scarlet. Maybe Klaus had been to Lyn in the past, but Scarlet had alw
Scarlet was taken aback. 'I can kill him?' She asked in bewilderment. Why didn't anyone tell her that in the first place? All she had to do was kill Klaus, and she would have won the world, right? But then again... Scarlet shook her head. Killing Klaus was too lenient a punishment. With
Scarlet woke up the next morning in the hotel room. She yawned and stretched her hands. Her legs shifted, but a sharp pain at her waist made her wince, and she frowned slightly. "This..." Her mind flashed, and memories of the things that happened last night flashed in her mind again. Her
