CHAPTER 20

The insistent knocking on the door got me nearly swearing out loudly on what I was going to whoever was behind the door. My head was banging from the headache I felt and I managed to get off the bed. Dominic was turning in his sleep on the couch while I went for the door. I had thrown every last bit of caution in the air on whether it would be Emilio or his cronies as I grabbed the handle, turned the key and opened the door. She flung herself at me in the tightest embrace and Lord, I realized how much of that I needed as tears fell from my eyes.

"Girl, I'm so sorry you could not reach me. I got your text this morning and I had to make my way here immediately." Zara said as she held on rather tightly to me.
