Chapter 10- Jake first kiss

Jake decided to lay down and watch some TV in his room before going to sleep. Still dressed he laid with his hands behind his head. He was still finding it strange that she was turning in early, it wasn’t like her. The look she had given him got him thinking that she was up to something, but he couldn’t figure out what it was. Not being about to concentrate on the news he glanced over at the door and got off the bed, he figured he’d go check on her. He knocked once, then again and when he got no answer he quietly opened the door to peek in. He did see a lump under the covers but something was not right, he could sense it.

Going over to the bed he gripped the covers and pulled them down. His jaw clenched and his muscles tightened when he saw that she had stuffed a bunch of pillows together in an effort to make it look like a body. “Son of a bitch,” he swore and took off in search of her.
