1. The Beginning

"I hate you".

Those were the only words that were constantly ringing in my head as I walked towards the café. My name is Rose and I've always been the pretty girl everyone wanted except this badass of a boy that does annoy me every time. I had promised myself that I wouldn't go back there, but here I was, standing outside the door. My heart was racing as I pushed it open and stepped inside. The smell of freshly brewed coffee hit my nose, and my eyes scanned the room, searching for the person I had been avoiding for the past few weeks.

His name is Jon and he's pretty handsome if you would ask me, tall, slender with that pointed nose, cute and pink lips with masculinity. But he's my nemesis

And there he was, sitting at the back of the café, his nose buried in a book. My heart skipped a beat, and I had to remind myself of all the reasons why I hated him. The way he had treated me, the way he had broken my heart, and yet, here I was, unable to resist the pull towards him.

I took a deep breath and made my way toward him, my hands shaking slightly as I sat down in the chair opposite him. He looked up from his book, his eyes meeting mine, and for a moment, neither of us said anything.

'What is he going to say now huh?' Rose started murmuring in her head waiting for what he's gon say to her.
