Orrin’s POV

My fingers were still tangled in her hair when I finally let go. The strands slipped through my hand, and Bridget stumbled a step forward, her balance off.

She turned sharply, her face flushed red, her chest heaving with anger.

Her hand came flying up, fingers outstretched, the intent clear—she wanted to slap me.

I caught her wrist midair. My grip was firm but not cruel this time, though my eyes narrowed into hers.

“You really have a habit of acting without thinking,” I muttered, my tone low and cutting.

For a moment she froze, staring back at me like she couldn’t decide whether to scream or spit. Then she yanked her hand free, her lips curling into something between a snarl and a smirk.

“You’ll regret this,” she hissed. “Every single bit of pain you’ve put me through, every word you’ve thrown at me… you’ll pay for it. And in the end, you’ll still be mine. You don’t see it now, but you will. You’ll come back to me.”

I stood still, unmoved, watching her tantrum play out li

  • He Divorced Me, I Marry A Bigger Billionaire!   Chapter 140

Henry’s POVThe office was quiet except for the shallow, tense breathing of the man slumped against the wall. My lawyer. Well, not mine anymore. His lips bled, a red streak across his chin. Orrin’s fists were still balled, his chest rising and falling.I stood a step back, arms crossed, trying not to show how rattled I was by the scene unfolding. I had known Orrin was a brute when he needed to be, but watching him drag the lawyer by the collar, slam him against the desk, and punch him until the wood rattled, it made me realize how far he would go.And it made me realize how far I might have to go too.The lawyer groaned, wiped his face, and spat blood onto the floor. His eyes flickered between me and Orrin. “You both are shit and done as fuck when I deal with you. You lay another hand on me and I’ll have you jailed. I swear, I’ll bury you both in lawsuits.”Orrin laughed. He leaned close until their noses almost touched. “Do it. Go ahead and try. You think prison scares me?”The l

Henry’s POVAurora was gone.I stood there in the middle of her empty room, staring at the stripped walk-in closet, the bare drawers, the cold emptiness of the space that once smelled like her perfume and vanity creams. It was all gone.Something smelt wrong. Very wrong. The divorce wasn’t even finalized yet, so why the hell would she run now? Why disappear so suddenly, like a thief in the night? My gut twisted.I darted toward the drawer where I’d found those documents before. My hand yanked it open, my eyes sweeping frantically through. Empty. Nothing. I crouched down, pulled open the lower ones, shoved my hands around the inside as if something might magically appear but there was nothing. My throat tightened. “What the fuck is happening…”This wasn’t just Aurora being impulsive. This wasn’t just her taking her clothes and her jewelry and running away. My guts told me she was scrubbing away evidence, pulling strings I couldn’t see yet. My instincts screamed it.I pulled my phone f

  • He Divorced Me, I Marry A Bigger Billionaire!   Chapter 138

Henry’s POVThe divorce papers felt heavier every minute, almost like lead sitting in my hand. I pushed them across the polished desk toward my lawyer, watching his eyes skim over every line with the kind of precision only years of habit could build. His office was quiet except for the faint hum of the air conditioner and the scratching of his pen as he made a note in the margin. It felt like deja vu, sitting here, submitting divorce papers. After a few long moments, he nodded, leaning back in his leather chair. “Everything seems to be in order. I’ll finalize it as soon as possible. You’ll get the confirmation within a week.”I nodded, though there wasn’t much satisfaction in it. My chest tightened as I slid a hand into my pocket, pulling out my phone.“Before you do that…” I unlocked the screen and opened the gallery. My thumb hovered for a second, then I turned the screen toward him. “Tell me what this is about.”He adjusted his glasses, leaning forward. The reflection of the do

Lisa’s POVMy heart dropped so hard I thought it would tear straight through my chest.Aaliyah’s voice shook as she clutched my arm, her whole body trembling. “Lisa… Elias is still in there.”For a second, I couldn’t even process her words. The roar of the fire was deafening, the smell of smoke already choking my lungs, and half of the building was crumbling before our eyes. But when I looked into her terrified face, I knew she wasn’t joking. My eyes darted back to the house. The fire was alive, eating everything in sight, climbing up walls, devouring wood and glass as if it had been waiting for this moment. Part of the roof gave way with a loud crack, sparks flying into the sky like angry stars.I grabbed Aaliyah by the shoulders, forcing her to look at me. “Listen to me. Snap out of it. If we just stand here, he’s gone. Do you understand? He’s gone. And you're too weak to go in there.”Her lips quivered, and tears rolled down her cheeks, cutting through the soot on her skin. “No…

Lisa’s POVMy car hummed beneath me but my mind wasn’t on the road, it was on Aaliyah, on the truth that I was about to drop in her lap like a bomb.I rehearsed it in my head for maybe the hundredth time.Okay, Lisa, just breathe. Keep it calm. Start easy.I cleared my throat even though no one was in the car with me.“Hey Aaliyah, so… funny thing, right? My uncle let it slip that Orrin, your charming new husband, actually came up with the plan to kill your parents, and then his father happily carried it out.”The words sounded disgusting and too cruel the moment they left my mouth. My stomach twisted.“God, no, no, that’s a terrible way to put it,” I muttered to myself, smacking the steering wheel in frustration. “What am I thinking? She’ll fall apart if I tell her like that.”I tried again, softening my tone.“Aaliyah, listen, I know this is hard, but… the truth is Orrin isn’t who you think he is. My uncle told me something… and I think you deserve to know, no matter how much it hu

  • He Divorced Me, I Marry A Bigger Billionaire!   Chapter 135

Aaliyah’s POV Lisa’s words about divorce kept ringing in my ears. They wouldn’t stop, repeating over and over. It was like the pieces of a puzzle were finally falling into place, but the picture it formed was one I refused to see.My chest tightened. Was it really the truth?I shook my head hard, as if I could rattle the thought out of existence. “No…” The word slipped from my lips, a trembling whisper, as if that single sound could undo reality.“Your silence confirms it, Aaliyah. You’ve finally accepted the truth. Splendid. That’s the first step. Now… I’ll just go ahead and brief you.”My lips trembled and my body shook. But something inside me flared, a spark of anger, of defiance, of sheer desperation.I leaned forward as much as the rope allowed, my voice was raw but I forced it out.“No.”My throat burned as I spoke louder.“No. I don’t want to hear what you have to say. Whatever it is, I don’t want it from you. Not from you.”For a moment, there was nothing. The silence pres
