"I'm sorry for that but trust me you need to help me with this. I need to get away with this tonight." Skillfully cloaking his distress under a romantic smile, he made a show as if he was engaged in a romantic conversation with his high school sweetheart which was certainly-not-certainly me.

"You are sick in your head!" The furious words glided like silk on a loop. So soft and fragile. Why was I carrying on the pretext when it's the least I ever wanted?
