Chapter Nineteen

We got to the cottage a few hours later. After planning, cancelling and re-planning revenge strategies in my head multiple times, and staring out the window again to admire the beauty we were driving past, I finally got bored and dozed off.

The driver gets out of the car and help us take our boxes inside, although there are only two boxes; one small box for my clothes and undies, and an even smaller one for Logan.

We would be spending just a few days anyway. The driver happily carried our boxes inside while I just stayed put and stared at the incredible beauty of the place. He was so happy doing it as though he is the one having the honeymoon. He hummed and whistled while climbing into the cottage.

The cottage has stairs leading into the main cabin, which is built above the ground. I could hear the creaking sounds of his shoes as he mounted up and down the stairs.
