Chapter One- Hundred & Ninety Eight

Indeed, the farmer’s wife was right about their daughter; she is a chatty and vibrant teenager who unbelievably knew so much about the world even though they lived far away into the bush.

I have spent a couple of months there now, and each time, my heart ached for what could have been; the love and happiness the farmer and his family shared were rare.

I have never met a family so contented and at peace with their environment, and to think that his wife gave up her job in the city just to move down to his ranch.

It even came as a shock to me when their teenage daughter spoke so fondly about Logan D’Nores, and to prove her point, she has magazines of him in her bedside drawer, and her most desired dream would be to see him someday and tell him how much of a fan she was.

“She buys magazines that carry his pictures any time we go to town,” the farmer had said so one evening over dinner when she would not stop talking about the famous Logan D’Nores.
